He won't react, as soon as you hit him just when he lands. - Remember to make use of Links like Simba or Ariel to get past those phases you have troubles with. Not only do they recover your HP, but they give you a lot of invincibility frames while the time passes, letting you avoid some of Yozora's most deadly attacks. - So this took way longer than expected. I've been working on this for almost a full week by now but, as far as I know, this guide should include all of the best/most effective ways to counter Yozora. If you're feeling desperate and just can't get a grasp of his behavior, don't worry. It's not you, but it's him! What I've noticed with Yozora's teleport fake-outs is that he always seems to do it right in front of you in the exact same spot, and then when he actually attacks, his position changes.

Btw, on combo 19, watch Yozora’s placement, if he is right in front of you, he will delay, unless he teleported away right in front of you. if he moves slightly to the left, be ready to block, if he is on the left or right, just block immediately.

This guide to beat Yozora is very detailed, helpful, and easy to understand, even for players who got defeated numerous times and when to time their evasions or guards correctly, myself Included. I like the detailed combo gauges in real time so players will always know when to wait, guard, dodge/evade, and the best opportunity to unleash a full combo. This will help beginners and those having a hard time defeating him on critical mode. Personally, I beat him on standard difficulty using most of your strategies, but failed at some of them. Thank you for this. When I start fighting him on Critical mode, I just hope that I learned something new from this guide and do these defense techniques myself.

I had to use two guides, but your timing with Yozora's second phase made the fight so much smoother because I could not find it. So thank you so, so, so much. Took me almost a year but I finally got it.

So funny story, I was fighting Yozora and kept dying, so the attempt before I beat him, he started with his DM/Second Phase. Like that's the first thing he did when the battle started! It was pretty crazy.

This honestly is probably the most-well designed secret boss in the series because while he's extremely aggressive, there's plenty of chances to poke holes in his offensive if your reactions and timing are on point. It's a much better dynamic then with Lingering Will where you're forced to wait for him to finish his attacks due to being invincible then getting a huge, obvious opening afterward, or having to wait for specific attacks to actually be able to retaliate safely like with the Mysterious Figure.

I just beat Yozora today and this video is why. That timing gauge at the bottom was great both for timing and as a visual indicator of the number of attacks. Everglow I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. I’ve been watching you since your Pacey channel and when I got a copy of BBS and struggled on my own I tuned into your old channel and it has helped me so much in understanding how the game worked because BBS was my first Kingdom Hearts game and the only game I owned back then. Thanks to your videos I was able to beat BBS on Proud, Critical, and even Critical level 1. And now with this video, I wanted to try fighting Yazora blind first so I can see what I’m dealing with and then tune into this video to see what looks familiar and how can I properly block as well as look for opportunities to attack. I watched your video many times and did some practice before sharing and to also see what works and what doesn’t. When I was ready to record I passed on my first attempt! Wish there was a retry button in the pause menu. Sometimes he starts by changing the arena and going straight into phase 2, if that happens or if he steal a kupo coin, just restart

thanks for this video! the combo explanation are great and knowing when we can punish Yozora is super helpful. With a bit of pratice and timing i was finally able to defeat him today and your video helped a lot in showing every counter we can do on him! My only problem within the fight was his sword that he spawn in our back. I dont know why but i just couldn't handle it and it killed my run multiple time haha

During combo 11 (the fake teleports) Yozora only attacks when he teleports to the side. From what I was able to notice he only does 3 things. 1) He will teleport on the spot 5 times, the 5th being slightly to the left and also when he attacks. 2) He will teleport 3 times, the 3rd being WAY off to the right and also when he attacks. 3) He teleports to the left and attacks immediately. This one might seem like BS but its surprisingly easy to react to. Edit: During combo 19 he starts doing double fake outs. When he teleports 5 times the 3rd and 5th are slightly to the left.

AMAZING VID! for combo 19, you know he'll attack when he comes in from the side. He never attacks directly in front of you, except for the permutation where he initially rushes you from the side

Just wanted to say thanks! This guide helped me IMMENSELY, and I managed to beat him last night. Only thing that kept throwing me off was the timing of the block for when he sends his sword after you. I think I have to dodge differently, because it hit me every time.
