Man, this one was hard to watch. Dave was cooking so good, only to lose on time. And that Nxb2 was brilliant, but he misunderstood the idea behind it by playing Qa5?. I think the idea behind it was to push the pawn to d4, creating a passed pawn that can only be stopped by sacrificing a piece. Dave is studying, dude.

@@michaelc3977hey man, you joking? Dave’s games were my favorite over at coffee chess. I barely watch the channel anymore since he left. To me, the Dave-Carlini matchup, banter and all, is the epitome of what coffee chess is (or rather was). It isn’t the same anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I like most of the guys on there now. But that regular roster of Dave, Carlini, Mike, Butcher, Duck, Cesar, Karl-that was coffee chess at its best.
