I’m not sure if it’s new, but it’s news to me, they just released the everlast Velcro power lock 2 and was wondering your opinion on them

I bought a pair of power locks online a while back and loved them so much that I used a discount code to buy another pair in lace 16oz. They were completely different than my 14oz and then got another 25% off so bought another pair of 16oz velcro for a friend who didn’t have any. All 3 pairs were so different from the liner, thumb attachments, stitching, tags, width, padding, just 3 completely different gloves. It was crazy.

I hope they will last longer than the original ones 😅🙏 I don't have this problem yet because I have a lot of boxing gloves at home and rotate them when I workout but I've heard that the originals break down really quick when you use them to much especially for heavybag.

That’s why only use mine for sparring. I like how they have more wrist protection.

@@carbonfiberfan I have two pairs but you're right. For sparring they're excellent. But I will use the other pair for the heavybag to break them down on purpose because another boxing KZfaqr said that they turn into a kind of punchers glove (hard to explain) after that. We will see 😂😅👍🏻

@@nicolasd.3775 They turn into an unsafe punching glove*. Unlike Cleto’s or No boxing No life that have compact horsehair padding which is quite firm and makes it a punchers glove. Once the power locks have broke down it’s not a compact padding you feel it’s the knuckles/hand wraps.

Great review , i'd be interested see how long the foam padding lasts , i've owned four pairs of the older design leather Power-locks which i really liked but the one issue that i had with them was that the padding over the knuckle area broke down way to quick . I hope Everlast have made these new versions with better lasting foam , i guess time will tell !

Same I brought a pair for sparring September last year and the padding completely deteriorated by June. I was surprised.

What you think about Spence pulling out due to injury? Are you still excited about Pac vs Ugas or do you think Pac should wait for a fight that can enhance his legacy? I'm extremely disappointed. Manny isn't like these young guys who have a bunch of fights than can do something for them he only has a select few that can enhance his legacy and Ugas isn't one of them 😔

It sucks big time, I have tickets for the fight in Vegas so you can imagine how I feel lol. Hopefully Spence gets his eye fixed, but i feel bad for Manny as he looks fight ready and put in the work. Ugas is no slouch either, but definitely not Spence.
