Hello! How much and how will the sound of Everse 12 differ from Everse 8? Like for example in this short 1.5 minute excerpt kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbOAnrOE2bPLn2g.html JBL Eon One Compact is much inferior to Everse 8 in volume, but at the same time, the drums and percussion of JBL Eon One Compact sound more clearly in this recording, they are not lost against the background of other instruments

@georgchekinoff239 the 12 sounds more full. The bottom is rounder and the top has a nice sizzle. Plus it's definitely louder

I have a pair of Everse 8, they're good, but from day 1 I was joking about waiting for a 12" version. Really need to get a pair of them! Not getting rid of the 8's, I think they're gr3at for different types of gigs.

Greetings! I am solving this dilemma now. I have Everse 8. I compared the volume on the street with my Jbl Eon One Comact, the corresponding videos are on my channel. JBL Eon One Compact vs Everse 8. I was very shocked by the sound pressure of the Everse 8. As a result, I sold two of my JBL speakers (2021 and 2022) and am thinking about buying another one! Again, Everse 8 or Everse 12, which I plan to use in the city alternately at street performances. I play rock music: lead guitar with backing tracks and vocals. I used to do the same with Jbl Eon One Comact. Two or three days later, they switched between each other, reducing the physical wear of each speaker. But there is another space everywhere. Now, where there is less, I think that Everse 8 is better, where there is more, Everse 12 is better. Transportation on a 6-wheeled Italian Gimi "Tris New" trolley. On KZfaq, who is interested in what kind of cart it is, there is a video with this name. Type Gimi "Tris New" and you will see. The Everse 12 is of course bigger and heavier, but it can also be placed in this 6-wheel cart. Whether to buy it or not, I cannot decide, and there is no way to hear the difference in sound between them live. What do you say? If we compare the sound live, are there any differences between Everse 12 and Everse 8? It's unclear on KZfaq. It feels like they sound almost the same. Then what's the point of a 12-inch speaker?

Do you think an Everse 12 would sound significantly worse than a QSC k.12.2? ... I want a speaker with a battery and I'm torn between buying an everse 8 for around town or selling my k.12.2 to buy everse 12 (instead of having 2 speakers)... around town would be acoustic guitar and vocals, but my use case for k.12 at home is a power amp for my electric guitar modelers and also playing practice tracks... would I miss the QSC at home if I went with one everse 12 speaker for everything?

Use (2) Everse 8's with the 12" EV powered sub - it works very well. But i would have bought (2) 12's if they were available! Nice video.

So I just bought my 2nd EVERSE 8 in white for ceremonies. I feel like white is better in Florida Sun also. Do you think two e8s can do as good or better with coverage than one e12?

Two Everse 8s already have stereo sound, you can position them on the sides, personally I think the coverage will be better than one Everse 12.

Hey there, I like the idea of battery powered ev everse 12, and going wireless, I'm a Tribute Act using Backing Tracks via Bluetooth to a mixer and then into my speakers and a shure wireless mic, I do not really see the point of this video wireless battery operated speakers put through a mains connected mixer what exactly is the point ?

@@marcburns9063 The point is to compare the sound of the EV8 and EV12. Of course, the 12-inch speaker works harder, and the frequency response of the low frequencies is wider. And as for the batteries for the speakers, in my opinion, the author showed that they are there and at the time of testing the speakers are powered by them.

that 7Db difference is probably not even countered by having 2x 8s by comparison, so the 12 offers better value for money.

Whats the diference in the high frequency drivers ??? Everse 8 says dome tweeter titanium and 12 says compression, both 1" ??!

For that amount and weight just get a conventional top that can eek out a couple more dbs and clearer sound. Doesnt make sense unless your whole system is battery powered, than you can call yourself the Tesla DJ.

@oldschooldjernie I just did a 10 year Olds bday party yesterday with two Everse 8 speakers. All volumes and gains set to 12 o'clock. Plenty loud.

Hello there, please can u help me ? I am deciding between Soundboks 4 and this Everse 12, I want to use it for events, like weddings and so on and also for parties without electricity in the woods. Which one is better ? I mean quality better and Everse 12 is the only one which I can use with power supply, am I right ? But will Everse 12 survive everything like Soundboks 4 ? Obviously, there are no such videos, personally I stick to Everse 12, even 8 sounds very good kzfaq.info/get/bejne/frxiqdeB0525dIE.html due to its compact size, 7.6 kg weight and high SPL of 121 dB. The Everse 12, thanks to its larger speaker, deeper 45 Hz bass, 14.2 kg weight and a higher SPL of 126 dB, certainly sounds even richer. I have not heard the Soundbox, but in my opinion they look bulky compared to the Electro-Voice speakers of the Everse series.

I'm going for the white aesthetic and unfortunately I don't see the Everse 12 in white yet, so im definitely going for the 8's. They would only be for outdoor ceremonies and maybe monitors.

I use my Everse 8 strictly for ceremony and/or cocktail (if in a separate room than the reception). Size/Portability/Weight is more of a priority for me than using it for more prominent applications. I'll stick with it.

Compared to the JBL Eon One Compact, the Everse 8 sound is enough for me personally :) For example, I compared them on the Metallica track "Enter Sandman" MP3 256 kb/s live recording from KZfaq in Los Angeles 2023 (normal volume in the room at home and maximum volume in the stadium) timbres are disabled. I walked 492 feet through the city park, turning on the Everse 8 at maximum volume. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ptRme6V7vcrbnaM.html Eventually, the city noise started to get in the way, and there is a busy highway nearby. But obviously, the Everse 8 is a very loud speaker system for its size. It seems louder than I've ever heard from larger devices. I haven't used the equalizer yet.

You were calculating max decibel level on the 8’s and the 12’s when you were facing them away from you and the meter. 😂 Also loud doesn’t mean quality I’d rather have less power and better quality

Correct I was calculating the max db levels in the room. Per the specs, the max decibels on Everse 8 are 120. I’m sure if I held my phone directly in front of the speaker I could produce that.

@DJLoStax keep in mind the LIMIT light hits much sooner than the before it actually hits the threshold, why EV did this, I have no idea, but they can get much louder than where you tested with no damage
