The whole of Plymouth was behind you on that cup final day in 1966 Mike- you were the best goal scorer Argyle have had in my time and i wish you had stayed at Home Park longer. I was 9 years old when i first saw you score for Argyle at home and we had a really good side then with Barrie Jones and Nicky Jennings -2 excellent wingers crossing balls for you and big Frank Lord who took no prisoners ever. Great memories Mike-Thanks from all Plymouth Argyle fans

That was a terrific final to watch for the neutral. Not many sides come back from 0-2 down to win the FA Cup like Everton did that year (beat us in the semi final too with Colin Harvey playing a blinder at Burnden Park. Mind you, Bestie wasn't playing). I miss the old Wembley. Such a great atmosphere there on cup final day.

I thought it was just a little dab of it - like an eighth perhaps, just seen in the hair but nowhere else. Good player, also scored an excellent goal against Arsenal in the cup in 1971.
