The real difficulty in the Ezio collection was the parkour. Can't tell you how many times I died accidentally jumping off a building.

If you're after 100% sync, I still think AC3 was the hardest. Especially when you gotta do stealth on a ship without getting spotted. Somehow enemy's field of view are so far in that game, making it easier for us to get spotted than the rest of the series.

I still think, aside from the bugs, Unity had the best gameplay in the series.

Love Unity because it encourages stealth so much. You really want to plan ahead and make use of your tools if you want to succeed. If you can do that, you’ll almost never have to engage in combat if you don’t want to, and it feels great. I also liked the open approach to assassinations, it feels like you’re infiltrating and locating a target rather than following a set path (barring some sections). Although I can definitely appreciate a simpler experience, unity’s challenges are what made it fun for me.

Ignoring the obvious leveling from the new-gen games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla) I think AC3 was the hardest, at least to 100% sync. The main sequences were very easy to 100% but a lot of the side missions, specifically the naval ones, were insane

I found AC 1 and Rogue the easiest and Odyssey the hardest because of level gating. Honestly, AC Unity was the most fun because of the black box stealth missions.

Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are probably the most difficult ones as they have difficulty options, from ac brotherhood to syndicate the only hard part in my opinion are the 100% sync requirements, ac overall is not difficult, would love if mirage would be more stealth oriented when it comes to how hard it is but I guess we just have to wait and see

Funny enough in assassins creed 2 I was getting so frustrated because I couldn't climb the church in one of the opening scenes & was thinking of almost closing the game but thankfully I never did & completed the Ezio trilogy. What a masterpiece I would've missed out on if I closed it.

Ac 1 is probably the most difficult. Although nothing is harder than that stupid capture the flag mission in Ac 2 that was just frustrating

The naval missions in AC 3, are the reason why we got Black Flag and Rogue. It was something new and we wanted more

Unity’s super difficult gameplay is the reason why Unity is the only Assassin’s Creed game where I felt heavily dependent on my tools and gadgets. I used smoke bombs, berserk arrows, and whatever equipment I had at my disposal to stay alive by either remaining undetected or running away from a fight. And I always made sure to restock before every mission. In a way, Unity is the most “Assassin’s Creed” game in the franchise, because the difficulty forces the player to plan and improvise to their limits.

I think 3 is the hardest but that's just me cuz it was my first assassin's creed I played so took some getting used to and figuring out controls plus 3 has more mandatory stealth missions and more time sensitive ones like you have to get to wherever in 1 minute

Odyssey at nightmare is a nightmare

AC3 was hard? On what planet? Connor is an absolute killing machine, he can murder his way through an entire city worth of guards in like 45 seconds. Easiest combat of the old school AC games by far. Also some of the flashiest!

Bruh have you heard of the parry counter attack in AC 3 kills most enemies instantly. Then with the sword and ax guys just do parry disarm. Combat is not the hard part of AC 3. In fact it is probably the most fun in the series.

Ac2 was actually kinda hard if you went into a full on fight. Didn't have a block break like brotherhood and enemies health was through the roof plus no kill combo. Brotherhood is much easier and it's much easier to get money since enemies drop like 40 and items a lot more frequently

I’m surprised they did not mention the 100% sync requirements. That’s what makes these games difficult. Combat in AC1 and Unity can be challenging, but require actual skill, timing, and practice. For these reasons I tend to have more fun with the combat in those games

The way I see a lot of the ac games combat is that it’s as fun as you make it. For instance in the Ezio games and 1 most people will just stand there and wait to be attacked and then counter as the game shows you but if if you change it up a bit on your own like parrying dodging using hidden gun, disarming. It can make the combat much more enjoyable

Valhalla isn't that hard, it does have difficulty options, but it isn't hard, that or I did too many sidequest because I just walked through most things. Odyssey well yes it is hard but once you get the hang on making builds it isn't so bad (unless you meet a chicken then you're doomed. Godamned chickens, far more dangerous than anything else in the game). Honestly, I find the 100% sync requirements of the older games to be a pain in the ass, only one of the older games I ever 100% sync was AC Liberation

Gotta be odyssey I tried to fight Medusa under-leveled and it did not go well. The game forces u to grind side content just to complete main missions.

Did I miss you talking about assassins creed part 1. That was hard. On the final couple of bosses, I had to run around in circles to I could fight again.

And it didn't help that you kept getting caught by EVERYONE in unity.

I played Valhalla til the end and enjoyed just the first 10 of 100 hours. It was frustrating to complete. But not because of the difficulty.

ive only played: Black flag, AC 3, AC 2, Odyssey. and I rank them in that order from easiest combat to hardest combat. In black flag, I was never the slightest bit worried about being detected by a dozen guards.

To me the most fun is Odyssey. Many bosses and different hierarchy enemies. Also the other mercenaries make the game fun to play

The hardest is 3 because those full sync objectives are a NIGHTMARE

in like 2010 when i played ac for the first time, the boss fight against robert was like dark souls its was so difficult 😩

Unity's combat really tested me and was very enjoyable.

Liberation is the hardest to complete because you actually need the dedication to go through sweat and tears just to overcome the sheer boringness of that game...

I think the RPG games can be the easiest or the hardest depending on how you play them, because if you wanna rush through the story, you will eventually gonna face too high level enemies that has those skulls which means killing them is impossible and they will one shot you but if you choose to do alot of side missions and stuff, you will became majorly over leveled and probably have OP gear too that destroys enemies and possibly bosses to very easily. The older games can also be made way more tougher if you want 100% sync, because after AC II the games started giving you optional objectives that you have complete with the main one to get 100% sync from the mission, AC3 being the toughest one since you might get up to 3 optional objectives that you also need to complete along with the main mission

For me the hardest one is Odyssey. Not because of the difficulty per say, but because tive map is a beast.

AC Valhalla was the hardest game for me to beat because I never beat it, getting through such a dogshit game is a goal I could not hope to achieve. The sheer patience and tenacity required is beyond me.

I would say put Rogue before Black Flag, mostly due to the fact that the legendary ship battles in Rogue are noticeably easier than Black Flag

I played through all of them again last summer, and AC 1 was the hardest for me because of how outdated and buggy it is. Still disappointed they haven’t announced a remastered version of it. Now outside of this, I do have to agree with Unity being up there as well.

For the people that say unity is hard, I think its a skill issue I find naval combat extremly exhausting so props to the people who dont break a sweat doing that

The only two things I really had trouble with on my first playthrough of assassin's creed 3 were certain optional objectives and the stealth in the modern day sections even though it was the first assassin's creed I played

So what your saying is that in the Ezio games you have to do it a certain way and that there is not enough freedom but then when this is changed for unity to make it more open and broad it’s too confusing

Valhalla was very easy for me since I did a lot of side missions

Assassin's Creed 2 is pretty easy, but some missions are not. As a kid I struggled with the assasins'tombs and the ship's captain in "bonfire of vanities". And I was able to beat all of AC 1

Valhalla is literally the easiest one out of them all with combat and Parkour even on nightmare difficulty it still so easy it's just the story that takes forever to compete

Assassin’s creed on PlayStation 3 back then it was easy to get though but now it’s glitching as hell I still play it because I love a challenge

Once you "get" the combat in unity, I don't think there was a more satisfying point in the series. It's so smooth and sexy to be able to really nail the combat sequences.

Imagine a smaller AC game with souls like difficulty & combat. Nuts

I actually just started Odyseey today and made it to lvl 10 but I'm genuinely considering during the game down the easy. It's not fair for enemies 1 level below my own should be able to take me out in 5 hits when it takes 40 to kill them

The boat missions on AC4 game me PTSD with boat missions (I barely upgraded my ship I’m pretty sure lol)

As someone who didn't play the modern rpg titles, my most difficult game would be ACB. But that's for 100% sync, not the main objectives though. For overall difficulty AC unity would be up there. But ACB optional objectives was such a pain, even more than AC3. Don't know how many hours i wasted on the tank/flying machine missions for full sync. On the other hand the OG AC game was by far the easiest for me. Here's some of the difficult/memorable missions for me in each game 1. AC - Sneaking up to Sibrand, where you had to jump across boats filled with madmen/drunkards. Doesn't help that Altair can't swim :( Everything else was easy, the combat is so basic, you can literally finish the game without getting a single hit on yourself. 2. AC2 - Sneaking up on a ship during the latter stages of the game, can't remember what memory though... Overall easy game. 3. ACB - By far the hardest game for me, for getting 100% sync, The optional objectives are simply ridiculous. Who tf designed them... From the time limit in tomb explorations to thief races, and then don't get me started on the war machines.. 4. ACR - Much better optional objective requirements in this game. Tough missions for me would be the carriage missions, one at the start and then at the end with the glider. Also Altair's missions with his limited skillset when you're used to Ezio, other than that, pretty moderate. 5. AC3 - Another tough game, but better than ACB. The one mission i clearly remember is the running across the map escaping random mortar shelling from the enemy ships, and then to actually go to them undetected and blowing up their arsenals. Again optional objectives here are a real pain in the ass. 6. AC4 - Easy game for me, as i love ship battles. With the variety of tools at your disposal and Edwards skills, its very easy for me. Toughest mission would be the one with Roberts, where you had to steal a Portuguese flag undetected and rope swing kill the enemy. Also the legendary ship battles are a challenge. 7. AC rogue - Again easy game, but not as much as AC4. Pretty similar to AC4, apart form having assassins on your ass almost all the time. Difficult mission has to be killing Hope. 8. AC unity - This game had the toughest enemies imo. Combat and stealth is complicated and rewarding. Hardest mission would probably be the last one. 9. AC syndicate - All i can say is that this game is more like GTC - grand theft carriage and Batman combined :D. Combat is similar to the previous game but with more unique assassination chances. Makes it more memorable for me than unity. Also hardest mission would probably be the last mission again.

Origins' war elephants, Animus glitches (trials) like Sobek, Anubis, Sekhmet or that f----ing Snake... Challenging OP bosses in normal difficulty too...

These games have a strange difficulty much like their siblings in Prince of Persia.. Some parts are easy while others are quite difficult.. I was curious which was what led me here.. I'm not even close to finishing the series even tho I've had many of the games quite a while.. I was getting pretty deep into Valhalla but decided to take a break to play the earlier stuff..

I'd put ac 2 high... Not for Combat or stealth but just for that one mission where you had to kill like a man on a boat and you werent allowed to be detected. I t took me like 20 tries

I am amazed at all the comments about AC3's difficulty. I had a totally different experience, but that's probably mainly because it was the first game from the franchise I ever played (I was a little late getting on the wagon LOL). The combat is just a button masher. Enemies fall to the tomahawk faster than anything. As long as you're completing all contracts, and maintaining your trade business from the homestead, it's easy to keep a decent amount of income to keep upgrading yourself and your ship. Seriously, unless you're trying to get full sync on the stealthier challenges, the game is a breeze. Maybe I'm just really good at it. I dunno.

I beat unity it was rough. I’m stuck in odyssey and Valhalla currently those are probably the 3 hardest personally

Actually: Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla has the "choose your difficulty" from easy to nightmare. I played in easy and even that it was a bit hard. I'm currently 240hs in Valhalla... haven't finished it yet and posting on my other YT the Unity gameplay.... I haven't played the 1st one yet. The rest, except the Valhalla and the 1st instalment, I finished them all. Medusa: a literal pain, but once you know the secrets, it's still hard (because of how long it takes to deal some damage). I see Ezio as a trilogy, I cannot see it separately. I play AC 2 and then it's kinda mandatory play brotherhood and revelations. Something I wish to see more is more clips from PC gamers.

I never found any Assassin's Creed game especially difficult. RPG ones on higher difficulties are difficult.

Another Painful part in unity was you had to assassinate the target with hidden blade even if you kill them with sword or gun you had to reach them and stab them with the blade

Brah, AC1 was by far the easiest entry in the series, the hardest part of the whole game was slugging through the parts that you played as Desmond, the combat as Altair was janky and exploitable AF and offered by far the least challenge of the entire series, how on earth does anyone rank it in the top 10, let alone in the top 4

Assassin's creed valhalla even on easy is very hard I love it tho but I gave up on getting all the oder iron tree metals before you need 340 power level to kill some of them I just want to finish the game and do the side quest not not want to look around the map to find the other members of the oder just do them as side quest or say you need a power item or say to need 100 power. I hope Assassin's creed Mirage is not a pain in the butt like Assassin's creed Valhalla.
