I think people were a bit too soft with the “fatphobic” thing. It’s normal to be unhappy about some part of *yourself*. That’s the difference, he’s upset with his own image. If it were Bandit making fun of or shaming someone else that would be completely different. The fact that he exercises just means he’s doing something positive for himself, but if others are fine with their body then they don’t have to do the same.

Most censorships Disney makes in Bluey episodes are unnecessary, though some I agree with, like them having Bandit say sooper troopers instead of dingleberries, and Jack saying there's something going on with him and not wrong with him. I think Bandit and Bluey saying "crazy" in Mr. Monkeyjocks and Mini Bluey was censored because Disney thought people would think they meant crazy in a psychiatric way, but I don't think kids would think that. Also, in Housework, Bandit clutches his upper leg, not his groin, which is another thing that makes that censorship unnecessary. And I like to say capsicum a lot now when referring to bell peppers. 😁

I do agree with occasional regionalisms (manly ones that sound very rude in the US), but I prefer Jack saying “there’s something wrong with me”, since I probably have ADHD too and grew up feeling like there was “something wrong with me”. The whole episode is all about the fact that there’s not something _wrong_ with him, he’s just different, and I think changing the wording gives the message less impact for the kids it’s meant for.

I might be a tad sensitive but I agree with Disney plus removing the scale scene.. cause growing up even up untill adult hood, I struggled with eating food. And bluey is one of my comfort shows to eat food and feel comfortable while doing so. but I don't agree with em removing the title card "exercise" cause exercise is important.

The reason given for why the one character says they're backpackers instead of of "-and I'm from France" was due to the concept being foreign to the US whereas backpackers working on farms is commonplace in Australia.

Well٫ Disney has since has gotten some of the sensors eliminated! The one where the dog says and we're backpackers has since changed to the original! I'm guessing Disney got a lot of hate and couldn't stop it! So٫ they added back the original!

They actually started airing the “and im from france” version I figured that out while watching it and I was expecting the disney lines but was flabbergasted when i heard the actual show lines and so with all the other American episodes that reverted back to the aussie lines

The original script for the shadowlands episode had a reference to Jesus, but Disney didn’t allow the reference. It doesn’t make sense why they didn’t allow it.

I always thought the burp was changed to sneezing because "The folks at Disney doesn't condone to rude behaviors!" stuff. Also, the part with Trixie sitting on the toilet reading...Kinda stupid to have it censored, especially since it lasted for two or three seconds!

I believe Disney censored the word “crazy” as opposed to it possibly being offensive to disabled people. But even then kids wouldn’t see it that way and I think they should have left it the way it was.

i think in the ep mini bluey the edit was made because bluey is a show about dogs and if a dog looks crazy by showing its teeth it means it will bite and maybe disney didnt want to portray this behaviour as being funny since that could cause kids in real life to see the action as being harmless leading to a bite.

I live in the uk and the scene in fruit bat when bluey plays penguins isnt censored. I live in lo don so maybe its only censored in different parts of the uk
