Yes, actually there’s a book called Legends and lattes that I totally recommend bcs the characters are like d&d and it’s about an orc who opens a ☕️ cafe shop and nobody knows what coffee is

Hey Anda! Have you read Crouch's Wayward Pines trilogy? That series was my introduction into his work. Now I have read everything he has released. I think you will dig the Wayward books with all the twists and turns that come with it. Also, if you liked how heady Recursion was; a techno-thriller duology that I absolutely LOVE is Daniel Suarez's Daemon and Freedom (TM).

I was just going to comment the same thing regarding the Pines trilogy. I have heard that it may be getting an eventual followup story. No timetable as of yet.

I actually loved the only one left and the last time I lied is my least favorite 😬 I do see your point about the far fetched twists but I just didn't take it too seriously, it was just a fun ride, a little all over the place but overall very entertaining, what they call a popcorn thriller.

I felt the same way about the only one left. Way too many twists!! It was like they were added in just for the sake of having twists...

I just finished the Troop by Nick Cutter lol I may actually have nightmares. It's about a boy scout troop that goes off on an island to train for survival. While on the island their scout leader finds an injured & sick man. He does what every good scout would do, he trys to find a way to help him. Quickly realizing that the man is far beyond any help he can give & possibly sick with a contagious virus. The Troop must find away to get to safety & find help but it may be to late..... Will they survive what's happening on the island, surely help will come soon....... (Please look at warnings for this book it may cause some to be uncomfortable while reading this.)

Finished The Girl Next Door a few days ago and agree with you wholeheartedly. Very rarely there are characters in books that I feel I actually know, and this was one of them. I’d be curious to see a video on books you’ve read with the best characters/character development (if you haven’t already, of course). 💛

Recursion is one of my all-time favorite books! ❤ Yes, it was stressful and anxiety inducing, but I was so invested in the characters and their stories. Few books have made me cry, but I teared up when reading this one. I still think about it on a regular basis. I still need to read Dark Matter.

In October I was able to read and finish 3 books, even with my crazy busy schedule lol I read Graveyard of Lost Children by Katrina Monroe, My Dearest Darkest by Kayla Cottingham, and None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney. All very good, spooky books for Halloween. That last one, None Shall Sleep I enjoyed the most. I did start Every Dead Thing by John Connally, but I did not finish it before Nov started. Great video though! Always love to know what horror youtubers are reading

You should really check out _The Woodkin_ by Alexander James, which is a folk horror tale that takes place in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. It's very reminiscent of the _Wrong Turn_ horror movie series but set on a hiking trail. Very well written and not your normal trash read.

Hey Anda. I saw you loved "black mouth" and other books I really like. Så I decided to read "dead inside" because of your thoughts on it. I really did enjoy it. It's both super funny and super gross, it's relatable and real and at the same time super unrelatable and unreal. I would love to see you give a critique or deeper review of the book. As I'm a lone horror reader in my group of friends/family. KZfaq and your channel is gold for me. Thank you for all the great videos. Regards from Denmark.

@@AndaKent This was the first time I read something by Malfi and I wouldn't say it was very scary. But, there are definitely some creepy and suspenseful moments that I enjoyed. I also think he did a pretty good job of showing the anxiety that a father might feel in trying to keep his daughter safe in a world that is falling apart. Overall, I liked it
