I never thought about it but I think Bucky is a better chosen character to be Captain America, it would help him redeem himself from being winter soldier. Plus the combination of his robotic arm and the Captain America shield would be bad--ass. The amount of force he can make it have and upgrading the shield with Stark Tech/ black Panthers Technology, along with his combat skills he'd be unstoppable

I actually just stumbled onto your channel and am enjoying this series of videos. As a lifelong fan of Cap (well maybe 40 years, I don’t think I knew about him until I was 6 years old), I’ve loved (and hated) his appearances in many different types of media and so thankful that the MCU popularized the iconic super soldier! Not only do I buy the omnibuses but always buy the “Art Of…” books for the films which are entertaining and informative in their own right. It seemed that because IW & EG were basically 2 parts of a whole, there was actually much less shown and discussed in the TWO IW Art Of books (yeah, they doubled up on both films making “The Road to IW” & “The Road to Endgame” before their respective Art books were released-merchandising). Besides having 2 books per film, one of the most egregious lies perpetuated was the section of concept shield designs for IW Cap for 2 reasons In my opinion. Firstly, I don’t believe for 1 nanosecond that there were less than half a dozen concept shields in “consideration” much less in design. And secondly, looking at those other 4 or so designs, the one that was picked for the film was easily the worst looking and functioning of all. There was even a prototype design that looked much like the final one but collapsed even further by wrapping itself around his forearms and extending a short set of claws (ala Wolverine, but much shorter, which is probably why it went unused) but I liked the ones that were either gold or silver colored (I believe you showed them in your video) which just looked much more of a Wakanda & Cap combo design, or even the final one with the silver, red and white; honestly any of them looked superior to what was shown in the movie. Thank you for the videos, I am thoroughly enjoying them!

Actually captain america had 9 shields, the first is the uso shield, the second is the sheild from captain america the first avenger, the third is the sheild from the avengers, the fourth is the shield stealth shield from captain america the winter soldier, the fivth is the sheild that was used during the first encounter of the winter soldier and the climax of winter soldier, the sixth is the age of ultron sheild, the 7th is the civil war shield, the 8th is the gauntlet cap uses in infinity war, and the 9th is the endgame sheild that was given to rogers by stark.

There's also Taskmasters shield seeing as he has studied his fighting style as well as Red Guardian's because he's his Russian counterpart. Also the shield will next go to John Walker before it goes to Sam (and hopefully one day Bucky).

One thing which didn't seem to come up in the description for the shield he had in avengers Infinity War i.e. the black one is it actually splits into a pair of Greaves which explains why in the image where it looks like he's running the shield looks about half the size. when in the video clip when you see the tip of the shield pop out.

Well Phil died believing in heroes, specifically Captain America. In fact his idolization of Cap was used by Nick Fury to motivate Cap through bloodying his favorite cards with Caps image on it. Hence the shield, because shields are a symbol to protect.
