To be honest I feel like the mom wasn't spending enough time with her kid. I'm not saying she deserved to pass away like that, that was sad, nobody ever deserves to pass away of a condition like that, but I just thin the kid had a very good reason to be angry and rude to her. She didn't even acknowledge the fact he gave her a picture until later, and she kind of... pushed him away. If she had a job or something that she had to focus on, or had to act some way for something, then I would understand.
