The cool thing about having 99 lands is that your commander just has to survive one turn cycle for you to be able to pay for its commander tax every single time you cast it. The only exception are green commanders that let you play an additional land on the turn it comes down or fetch is a land out of your library.

Ob nixalis the Fallen is a 3 and two black for a 3/3 when a land enters the battle field you may have target opponent lose 3 life if you do put 3 +1/+1 counters on ob nixalis the fallen So you could have 99 lands in that deck too

Another land that could be good in these types of decks is Terrain Generator. So long as you have a large number of basics, you'll be golden.

Braids, Arisen Nightmare, force opponents to let you draw by sack your lands. Or Nine-Fingers Keene for gates win, Hazezon, Shaper of Sand would be harder, but still fun.

I feel like Braids is not gonna be good in that situation. She only does two damage to each opponent who doesn't sac, that's nowhere near an appropriate clock and you're only drawing into more lands.

Keene is REALLY hard to make work for that. There's a painfully low gate coubt in Sultai.

Just a heads up, while 99 lands is a cute gimmick there's no reason to play more than 92 lands. If you play a 92 land deck, even if you draw 7 nonlands in your opening hand, you'll still be able to hit your land drops in perpetuity

You could also go for Obuun Mul Daya ancestor! Use you’re lands as hasty / trample creatures

What about a video about all cards for those kind of commander? You could group those cards by theme, like by guild, by "triome", by utilities (spawning creatures, combat tricks, recursion, keyword [Archangel Crypt, Witch's Clinic, Sunhome fortress of the Legion, etc)

Pakko, the good boy would work as well. I’ve encountered a pakko and haldan 98 land deck in the wild. Everyone else was playing spell slinger (mizzix and feather). Not his best match-up.

Great video! One big missing commander was Marath, Will of the Wild. I've actually built that deck and it plays just fine.

Og mono green Nemata, the new Tatyova from dmu, mono red Hazoret, and mono red akroma are some others that can run on lands only and have a path for a wincon. I will say though, im definitely getting a korlash and 98 swamps with a rogues passage together for fun haha.

I understand the fun of the 99 land restriction. But I'd seriously miss a mana sink if my commander didn't have at least an activated ability to use all my untapped lands for. That's why Ashling is the undisputed No.1 for this concept. But I also like green Omnath, Drana, Oona and the Scarab God. Arvinox, Memnarch and Bobo Enraged are probably too expensive, you could already be dead on turn 7.

Prossh would good. Put some lands in your deck to sac him and then you can keep casting him to get more kobolds.

I think Kamahl, Heart of Korda would be another good one that can reanimate lands and he is a partner, so he can go with someone to help him out, like Ishai or maybe Thrassios.

Technically you can included the two face card that have a land on oneside of them. Then deck is still 99 lands.

for maralen you should use opposition agent, you can get her out turn 3 and oppo out turn 4, as long as nobody has removal in their hands you literally just win because nobody can do anything since you get to take all their card draw for yourself and take all their best cards

Dakkon Blackblade. Gets +1/+1 for each land you control. Use something like Rogues Passage. How about twenty one damage that can’t be blocked.

Fill your deck with animatable land plus search land, and suddenly you are swinging for hideous damage, lol. *That Green Power Ranger Whose Name I Cannot Remember:* Let's you play a land FROM YOUR GRAVEYARD whenever it deals combat damage to an opponent, as an additional land drop. Same idea as above, only now your sacrifice land can do "oh fuck, where's my grave hate cards"-duty!

I feel like Slogurk is also an interesting heavy hitter commander, but will need more prep 😅. Just need a lot of lands that can sac themselves, and you could always get them back too!

the bad thing about alot of these decks is that next to non of them have any form of built in protection so target removal becomes your bane.

That's not as much of a problem when you almost always have the mana necessary to cast your commander again. Land removal is annoying, but what can you do. Running Child of Alara will make your opponents hesitant to destroy it because every time they do, the board gets wiped.

As someone who has built a 99 land Oona Queen of the Fae deck, its an absolute blast to play! I do recommend lands that will help you gain life and maybe lands like hall of the storm giants (saved my butt a few games) it really is worth building.

I’m pretty sure Lord Windgrace would be very good with a 99-lands deck. That PW can do some shenanigans with lands. Edit 1: I'm actually getting a lot of these commanders to make 99 lands decks (and some are under $100 total). I have almost 20 of the commanders, but not many of the lands. Child of Alara is the only 99 lands deck that I have, but I did win one or two games with it (and no, they were *not* in casual games; my opponents were actually playing serious decks). Edit 2: I now have almost 30 of these commanders, not counting my Child of Alara deck.

This is why the missing Marath is actually so good for this gimmick. It can leave the battlefield at instant speed while doing its thing. Granted, it's cost intensive, and one of the big weaknesses of all-lands is actually ramp, but it's a better response than most of this list has.
