Every Day Carry Mile High Pocket Dump On A Plane (EDC)

I accidentally brought a knife on the plane. My ceramic knife went right through security And before I realized it TSA had waved me on. It was only a small Wazoo ceramic knife that i use for scrapping tinder when fire starting and could not be used to harm anyone on account of its extremely small size. Its smaller when opened then most blades in disposable razors so i wasn't to concerned. I'm not crazy Not afraid to the plane going down but my every day carry Consist of over 100+ pieces of survival gear on my person at all times As well as 4 different ways to start a fire. And it's all completely concealed inside 6 different places all over my person so no mater what goes down the odds of finding myself with out the tool i need to survive are very slim. First the Wazoo Cache Cap Which has pockets that holds the ceramic knife and tiny Farro rod As well as plenty of room for other flat items. Then around my neck i have the Viking Whetstone Pendant | Version 2 and the Bushcraf Fire Starter Necklace. On my wrist I have a procured bracelet called the Mountaineer Survival Kit Bracelet witch contains 14 different tools. Then my Wazoo Cache Belt witch has a 25 piece survival kit in it and slingshot bands and 7/16 steel ball. Then my wallet and a small tin witch have Grim Works survival cards for lock picking and fishing hook as well as A Diamond stone Sharpening card And magnifying glass for fire starting card from 5COL Survival. Which sounds like an awful lot of stuff But The micro nature Of most of this kit And its placement about my person I'm carrying a lot less weight than most ladies do with their purses and jewelry. It's only there so I can fare a bit better than Tom Hanks And I won't have to relying on some FedEx packages and a volleyball should the plane go down on a desolate island. And of course I don't leave home without my slingshot So you better believe that was with me as well Ready to be paired with the slingshot vans in my Wazoo Cache belt.

U can bring a knife on a plane. But there are tsa guide lines. It has to be less than half an inch wide and under 2 inches, non locking and non molded handels. So that little thing is fine. And were was the big fixed blade in the thumbnail?

personally I always carry at least one knife everywhere. I accidentally brought a knife into a prison. I was there to see my cousin and was close to staying when I handed over the knife during the search. needless to say I got the knife back when I left no problem though I was not allowed back to see my cousin the rest of the year.

When we live in a day and age where you can print a gun i hardly think a survival kit and tinder knife and fire steal should be an issue. Im in it to win so i prepare to survive all eventualities. Some pens are more dangerous then any of the stuff i had on me.

Clear and clever selection Fowler. No harm no fail mate, the gear you have does not constitute a security threat but highlights lax security at the airport, the cutlery you are given and mechanics of a normal airline toilet would pose more of a threat than your EDC. I have conducted risk assessment for airlines and airports in Nigeria, China and Finland, you are good to go. Cheers Moose Down Under.

That's what I thought I was surprised at some peoples response To a 1 inchTender scraper night For fire starting. I think Anyone of those items laid out for security would've been just fine. It might raise some eyebrows where it all displayed for them But they saw the slingshot And a few of the other items when I went through security. Even commented on the slingshot

Great video. I am surprised with just how much stuff you got through security with. Especially the sling shot with all that steel ammo as in the right hands (like yours) it could be used as a very serious weapon (not that I think for a second you would do that). What worries me though is that if you can get all that through security what could someone with ulterior motives get through and what havoc could they cause. Just food for thought

Short but sweet video!! Where is the compass? One needs a really good quality compass so it works for more then a day or week. Some think it is good enough to have a buck store one or one under $10. It is not going to work accurately or last. One should own one and learn how to use it properly for when they go out hunting to find their way back. I guess one could break twigs to make and stick into the ground pointing arrows every 10 -20 feet.

To be fair, a tiny knife like that isn't much of a threat unless you have the strength to make it useful, at which point you're probably a big enough dude that your bare hands are more of a danger than a centimeters long knife. In fact, don't they _literally give you a knife_ with your in-flight meal? It's not too dull either.

Im subscribing and liking. Great video. However....I would have told that security even if they went over it. If you were eventually caught with it, you could end up in some really serious trouble. You'd be surprised how much prison (even as a mistake) time you can get from bringing even a timy knife like that on a plane. They would have allowed you to check it into your check bags (I am guessing you didn't have any. Your like me if you didn't.) im just informing no hate lol. Ive just seen some....interesting things happen to someone who brought a weapon onto a plane past security.

Almost. Everything you carry with you plus a reverse osmosis pump and things like this are already in the airplane. One survival kit near or attached to the rafts.

G'day FM&M, Apart from the truly amazing flying skills of Capt.’Sully’ who landed his heavy on the Hudson, can you tell me the last time a large passenger aircraft (a 'heavy') crashed either on land or over water where anyone was 'well' enough to use survival equipment? Don' worry about TSA being incompetent, everyone knows that. What airlines and aircraft manufacturers would rather not have you think about are the extremely slim to zero chances of survivors after the crash of any large passenger aircraft from a cruising altitude... which is much more than a 'mile high', actually between 5.8 to around 6.6 miles high. If they ever do recover your body, all your survival equipment will end up in the body bag with you. Savage comment you say, well, probably yes but my point here is that some 'micro-preppers' seem to ignore the realities and real dangers in life. Happily, flying commercially is still infinitely safer than driving your motor vehicle on a controlled road. So if having all that survival gear on you at 35,000 feet makes you feel safe, all power to you. Cheers, BH
