I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

It really feels like a celebration of all of ARK 1 (minus some exceptions). I was kind of worried that some creatures would've never gotten to be seen outside their respective maps but in comes Genesis 2 with a huge map and a huge variety of creatures.

Yeah I was disappointed when I found out there were only Reaper Kings on Gen 1. I'm really happy that the Queens as well as Gasbags, Enforcers, Velonasaurs and Snow Owls are in Gen2. Also cool that the Thyla has a variant although tbh I prefer the vanilla Thyla

At least, extinction still has MEK and three titans that other maps don't exist to get, even the MEK might not be useful comparing with EXO MEK in genesis 2.

@Wills Animations and Games I mean MEK blue print instead engram, I know all regular engrams can be learned in genesis 2, but the original MEK is quite useless. The only use of the original one is to tame titanosaur but there's no titanosaur in genesis 2.

Something of note actually. The Summoner is able to summon any random creature from the whole map, and what they spawn is tameable, so IN THEORY, if you were able to trap a Summoner, you could wait and 'farm' for a Griffin spawn or something else not normally obtainable [EDIT] After extensive testing, it was a bug involving tricks and exploits with a Nogglin that let creatures stay after being summoned and made it default to a creature that was tameable. That has since been removed unfortunately.

@@Raasclark I have heard rumors that the creatures it spawns can after its been killed, however I dont know of anyone that has tested it. I might later today to find out myself for certain, and if that is a case I hope its an intended feature and not something thatll get patched. I would LOVE to finally have griffins on the story maps. Even if it takes a colossal effort to get one.

I used dino scanner to check all creatures in genesis 2 then I think there are at least 28 "tameable forms" of creatures not existing in this map(not including non-existing Unicorn as it's same as R-Equus in Genesis 2): 8 Primary creatures: Megalosaurus, Titanosaur, Dung Beetle, Giant Bee, Kairuku(penguin), Megalania, Onyc and Pelagornis(long wing bird). 7 Unoffical DLC creatures: Griffin, Ice wyvern, Deinonychus, Tropeognathus(what it can do that Astrodelphis also can do much better and has much more functions than it) and 3 varieties of crystal wyverns. 13 Offical DLC creatures: Phoenix, Morellatops(camel), Lighting, Poison, Fire wyvern, Rock drake, Blue print MEK, Forest, Ice, Desert titan, Magmasaur, Megachelon and TEK Triceratop. Also, 2 valuable creatures: Deathworm and Nameless(Nameless Venom can be used as high quality food or medical pack for Rock drake) are not existing in genesis 2. But without Deathworm Horn, how to tame Mantis without using transmitter?

man wildcard must really hate the rock drake. they've removed it from any mod map that had them and it's pretty much the last aberration creature just stuck on that map

they destroyed rock drakes with this dlc.. its invisibility went to shadowmanes and gliding to maewings. climbing? megalania and enforcer. There would be nothing special about rockdrake except the fact that it has all the features combined but even then the other dinos are better with those traits. rock drake was only so good because it was built for abberation and all its walls.

They changed tek helmet toggling on consoles , it’s holding X and square now. Before you couldn’t toggle if there was a plant at your feet.

I love how you posted this literally as I was telling my brother (we both play ark) about how I'd done my research and there were less dlc creatures that aren't in gen 2 than creatures that are (dunno if I'm making sense lol). @@joshualisojo4832 yeah that will never happen. The wyvern rock drakes and magma don’t fit the gen 2 map at all. And a free map with all dlc creatures won’t happen either. Wildcard need to make money and making certain creatures dlc specific brings in money for them. I Can’t even blame them for doing that.

I'm really surprised that every extinction creature made it onto genesis part 2, normally they at least leave one or two creatures that are unique to their respective DLC so you have a reason to go back there, but they just went ahead and ported every tame from extinction. It's nice, because the levels are always painfully low on those official maps, but it does take something away from the map. It still has the titans and the gauntlet style defense missions though, so it's more than capable of fending for itself, unlike scorched earth, it got completely nuked when ragnarok came out

For the part about the basilisk where u said you're not sure how you're going to tame em on this map cause there's no drake or magma eggs, you can use voidwyrm eggs to tame them

alr so rock drake actually spawn in the space biome, when hyper space ends there is a chance u will get a rock drake biome which is where u get eggs from

I can’t help but be a little sad I wanted to use a rock drake outside of aberration They’re a lot of people’s favorite and make lots of sense in this map in my opinion Also no eggs for this map is little sad but overall there are so many creatures it’s crazy lol

So to recap, the only tames that aren’t available are the rock drake and the magmasaur, which means that the only tameable story map creatures not found in either Genesis map are the rock drake and the Phoenix. WHY WILDCARD??? I guess the morelatops isn’t on here either (weird choice, but ok I guess). And I know extinction is redundant now, but it’s my favorite map. :(

You might be able to breed voidwyrms and feed the eggs you get to basilisks to tame them.

With the net projectile it is super easy to tame a ferox, u can trap them with the net, I have tried it myself.

why can you get rockdrake saddles out of drops but you cant tame them '

Probably because they'll add the rock drake magmasaur and griffon back soon once they find a good spawn point for all three no I haven't played the DLC but I've heard of people getting magmasaur saddles

this is one of the best maps, from the creatures, to the map. its a well rounded map. i love how it includes all the dlc creatures. really closes ark 1 great.
