Another thing about the transition between Sabo, Kid, Law, and Coby. All of them are hurting, yet each individual scene perfectly represents how these scenes played out for the characters with Sabo standing up, Kid and Law falling, followed by Coby stumbling at first and then standing strong.

Notice how zoro is in his wano outfit despite being behind luffy at whole cake in 10:38 its because he was in wano during that arc, i love that detail

I love the part where Morgans breaks the fourth wall to avoid spoiling Vivi. The way he reaches past the border and covers them while looking at the camera and shushing was so subtle, but so so cool. This is honestly one of the greatest anime openings ever, full stop.

I really liked the new animation approach. It's very dynamic and "bouncy" but clearly different from the previous WANO arc.

I like the transition from vivi into Bonney reaching for the paw bubble- it’s creating a sequential relationship between vivi and the paw paw fruit, and adding to the popular theory that vivi will get that fruit and rejoin the crew.

If you watch Stampede where everyone fall into the water, you can see Bonney in her form. Amazing foreshadowing detail.

A neat little nod is that in the japanese lyrics, when Luffy puts the googles in nika form, it says "Koko kara ga One Piece" meaning "from this point on starts the real One Piece", something that Oda wrote when the Wano arc ended.

The part of Morgans saving the viewers from further spoiler is maybe my most favorite part of the opening, its soo good. It was followed with Luffy and the crew's outfit transition. And the star on the horizon part that both shows the goal is on sight, both Lodestar island and the Laughtale. Tis opening is insanely Good

Thank you for the breakdown Artur. Megumi Ishitani's direction of OP 25 was amazing and somehow she outdid herself here for OP 26. She is truly a generational talent in the industry and we are lucky to have her on this series.

When it shows Sabo, Kid, Law, Koby, Vivi, and Bonney, I think that they chose these characters specifically as they have been implied to be people who are going to change the world. Edit: I was rewatching the opening, and the particular lyrics that play over this part showing these particular characters literally says "With us, the world continues to change". This line starts at Sabo, and continues until the Straw Hat Pirates. Another thing about this part, is that when Bonney reaches for Kuma's memory bubble, the next shot replaces the bubble with Luffy, showing that in the flashback, Kuma's final memories are him thinking about how Luffy will change the world. And when it shows Luffy, of course Zoro and Sanji are his Right and Left wings respectively.

I Love this opening (watching this many times) which I too noticed a lot of these details but love the ones that you also pointed out, so here are some details to add like: - The scene when Bonney changes Luffy, Chopper, & Jinbe’s ages which to note Jinbe rolls in the opposite direction to Luffy & Chopper as a reference to her making him younger while the other 2 are turned older, & I think that she also ages down in the background - When Kizaru shoots his beam up into the air it exploded which if you notice that it actually hit the Labophase’s Frontier Dome - Love that at the start of seeing Luffy vs Lucci is a Gear as in Luffy’s Gears

12:30 Guys mark my words: these butterflies also represent a part in a scene between the original joyboy and imu, I’m so exited for all those flashbacks

I loved the outfits timeline for all the Straw Hats and the match-cutting between Lucci vs. Luffy, Shanks vs. Kidd, Blackbeard vs. Law, Kuzan vs. Garp, S-Hawk vs. Zoro, and back to Lucci vs. Luffy and then Sabo, Law, Kid, and Koby staggering up. That's not Vivi with the Paw-Paw fruit at the end. It's Vivi walking forward toward a hole in a wall, match-cutting to Bonney reaching out toward Kuma's memory bubble. I'm sure it's intentional but I don't see it as an out-and-out spoiler. The biggest spoiler IMO is you can see Vivi behind Morgans' hand.

A good theory is that when Vivi extends her arms and transitions to bonney touching Kumas memories, it could be foresahdowing her taking on Kumas powers in the future and/or Vivis ancestor using using the paw power to scatter the poneglyphs.

If you notice before the crew jumps into egghead, it shows luffy, nami, and zoro waiting for sanji to come with them. and by surprise he's in his wci fit

Besides the great analysis, loving the Octopath 2 osts you used.. I'm 100h into it, only secret boss left to beat. The ost fits one piece well!

Even in that chapter luffy and VP are sent flying with high impact because of these boots

Before the eghead volume pv, im fully expected egghead to be all futuristic white and chrome. Im just really glad, that egghead is so colorful

The only reference I think you missed is the shots of Garp, Helmeppo and Hibari are from chapter 1071. The scene of Garp telling them that they're going to rescue Coby. With both Hibari and Helmeppo crying from the news and Garp triumphantly announcing the plan. Vice Admiral Doll is also in that chapter arguing with Garp.

honestly, one of my favorite parts of this opening (and there is a whole lot) is when anime-only viewers see shaka with the cp agents, they would think that shaka is secretly a traitor, so they would miss the actual traitor in the next scene. i just thought that was a neat little misdirect!

An interesting thing I noticed about the outfit changing scene: Jinbe is shown briefly with his Fishman Island outfit which swiftly transitions into his Cover Story-WCI outfit when he enters the Punk Hazard floor. This is interesting since it means we get an idea of which arc floor the characters are on. Later we cut to Luffy Nami and Zoro (then eventually Sanji as they run by), with Luffy and Nami (and Sanji) wearing their Tea Party WCI outfits, yet Zoro is wearing his Wano Ronin outfit. Obviously this is because like Jinbe in Punk Hazard, he wasn't present for the arc, as he was currently in Wano wearing that costume to blend in with the locals.
