Id love for them to introduce a new Pokemon that turns into the types Eevee can't Evolve into. Like a Yin Yang sort of deal with Eevee being the Special types and the new one being Physical Types

A ground type would look cool if done right , be cool to see it have like rough gems or rough ore through out it’s design. A ghost type too would also look super sick.

Iiphii -> Dragon type regional fake or counterpart (I wanted it to sound cute and fun like eevee, the ph comes from Metamorphosis) Would look like a furry Synapsid and be a reptilian pokemon along with its evos. While Eevees evos are more gentile, these are more agressive. Spectera -> Ghost evo (Eevee's evo's end in Eon, a long measurement of time, but these are Era's a more past type word, hints that this Pokémon may be an ancient ancestor to Eevee) Terraera -> Ground evo Crystera -> Rock evo Chivalera -> Steel evo Soarera -> Flying evo Viralera -> Poison type Antennera -> Bug type evo Bruisera -> Fighting evp

If they made a normal evolution to eevee, that means that they could introduce "third" stage evolutions to the eeveelutions we already have. That essentially means evolutions to Flareon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, etc.

Beta Umbreon was poison type, so the "special type" pattern has been disproved. I really hope we see a new eeveelution for gen 10 though.

Personally I think if they are going to introduce a new type, angel or holy type as a mutually super effective type to dark type might be in the cards, but most likely I think they’ll introduce Aura or spirit type, as a special type version of the fighting type, which would likely replace steel in lucario’s typing

I really hope someone does decide to give eevee some more evolutions despite the main creator/producer jokingly asking would we want a bug type. I guess there aren't any legends of mammals become bugs or turning into dragons. Even though there are many ways to work around this issue.

Honestly would have been pretty cool to get a Paradox Eevee that gives a new type, like a past version that is stone type and a future one that is steel type though I can understand why that wouldn't be a good idea, since Paradox Pokemon will likely be exclusive to Scarlet and Violet so why exclude Eevee forms to only one generation? Maybe a Paradox Eevee could have been the normal Eevee form, Eevee of the past could not evolve like it can in present day so it instead becomes a stronger, more aggressive normal type. With that in mind, you wouldn't be losing too much since people likely would be more annoyed losing another type over a normal type.

I think the Dragon Type was originally thought as Special but with time they shifted it to be Physical, therefore they created their counterpart type: Fairy. So in the list of "Special" moves, we can actually remove the Dragon Type from the list, and that is why Sylveon was released without a pair, because they have completed all the "Special" moves. What it would be good is to have another Pokémon Eevee style, or even a regional form of Eevee, that evolves into the "Physical" moves Types. Rock, Ground, Steel - Ghost, Poison - Fighting, Flying - Dragon.

Funny that two of the three newly introduces types got an Eeveelution (Dark and Fairy) but Steel did not. Also, since I'm a huge sucker for this kind of stuff, it kinda bothers we that we don't have a complete cycle with Eeveelution type advantages. Vaporeon is strong again Flareon, but weak against Jolteon and Leafeon. Glaceon is strong against Leafeon but weak against Flareon, etc,. The only ones not following this pattern are Jolteon, Espeon and Sylveon, both Jolteon and Sylveon as strong against another Eeveelution (Vaporeon and Umbreon respectively) but not weak to one, while Espeon is only weak to another (Umbreon) but not strong again one. If I were to introduce new Eeveelutions, the first two I'd like to see is Poison and Ground. Not only does these two types follow the previous pattern of one being weak to the other Poison is weak to Ground) but both fits into the cycle as Electric is weak to Ground and Psychic is strong against Poison while and Fairy is weak to it. It's just a pet peeve of mine but I'd like to see that one day.

honestly sound type is basically the best bet but cosmic type and cyber type are already covered by psychic, steel and electric types already. Also I don't really get this obsession with making a normal type evolution when the main draw for eevee is that it can become anything but normal.

Why does everyone overlook a Normal type eeveelution? It could have an ability like Protean so it could change its type based on the move it uses, since Eevee can already evolve into multiple types. This could be very competitive as you won't really know what moves one Eevee has and what type it could become.

Of the new types you mention, the only one I think that would be feasible is Alien type. I’m like 99.9% sure Sound type will never be a thing. Sound is too broad of a concept to make a type around because everything “makes sound” and Sound already exists in Pokémon as a mechanic with Sound-based moves like Bug Buzz and Overdrive which already have types assigned to them. And Cyber/Technology as a concept could already be embodied in either the Steel or the Electric type. An Pokémon based on AI as a concept could easily just be given the Electric/Psychic type. Alien would be really the only feasible option because, while otherworldly things are already kind of embodied by the Psychic type, it’s the only concept you mentioned that COULD split off into its own typing. I could maybe see Clefairy becoming Fairy/Alien type or Beheeyem becoming Psychic/Alien type. But in general, I don’t necessarily think we NEED a new type. Some of the issues that currently exist with balancing can be fixed in other ways short of making a new type.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Cosmic would be really cool. Psychic has always been a catch all for telekinesis, space, magic, and more. I feel like Cosmic would be a way to differentiate a lot of psychic types like Deoxys and Lunatone

I think you'll be fine, there are over 1000 pokemon at this point and we started out with only 3 eeveelutions lol I think people forget that eevee was meant to evolve from a natural environment - and from evolution stones - ELEMENTS - based off the pokedex entries across the games. Closest thing to natural I can see Eevee evolving into would be Poison. Even the fairy typing, looking back did not make sense to me. Eevee evolving because of a fairy type move rather than the environment it's meant to evolve from - broke the tradition pattern to make an evolution with ribbons (ribbon-like feelers according to pokedex) Still doesn't make sense. Just like eevee evolving into a dragon type doesn't make sense.

what if that regional eevee idea that you brought up has the base eevee as the missing dragon type that can then evolve into all the physical types. so og eevee is a physical pokemon evolving into a special type so it's regional variant is the opposite. That being said though, maybe those eeveelutions would need to have something to make them worth losing the dragon typing other than just being evolutions as going from normal to practically any other type is an auto upgrade while going from dragon to any other type is arguably a down grade. still and interesting thought imo.

Honestly I'm okay with eevee not getting any more new evolutions - eevee evolving into a fairy type didn't even make sense based on the way it evolves (elements of nature), and Sylveon's "ribbons" (feelers in the pokedex entries) design-wise was not cutting it for me. I enjoyed all the eeveelutions except Sylveon. Maybe eevee can evolve into a Poison type in the future, but that's all I can imagine actually happening. Evolving into a bug type or a dragon type would not hype me up at all. Somehow that makes even less sense than becoming a fairy type.
