Congestive heart failure also known as CHF is one the most common emergency you will respond to as an EMT or Paramedic in the field. Patients who have a history of heart failure can have either right sided heart failure or left sided heart failure, sometimes even both at once!
In this video, I go through everything the EMT or Paramedic student needs to know about congestive heart failure. We discuss the pathophysiology of congestive heart failure for EMTs, the hallmark signs and symptoms EMTs need to look for and the management of the CHF patient in the ambulance.
My aim is that after watching this short presentation, you will recall these key details of congestive heart failure for the rest of your EMS career.

@matthewgreener7069 just a couple hours on a saturday night and a handful more on a sunday. despite passing myself, i advise daily, diligent, and effective studying for at least 5 days if you want to ensure a 110% chance of passing

My child had DCM caused by myocarditis with a normal EKG. Then husband got myocarditis with a normal EKG also. Husband was sent home first day from ER with just a “cold”. Next day it was heart failure.

Did you pass just recently? I took an accelerated course from January-April but my grandfather passed away and got really stressed and behind on the stuff. Now I have taken it twice and failed but almost passed both times. If you can pass with such a large period of time on your third try, maybe I can too :)

I just bought the vault! It is excellent! It's very thorough and breaks it all down to make it very understanding. The EMT/Paramedic course that I am taking is not very thorough. This had definitely helped to fill in the gaps. I highly recommend it! I am already feeling more confident!

Your videos really have helped me a lot! Any advice how to study for the final exams I have to learn 300 questions by heart I know most of them but I really having problem copy paste them in my mind and they want them like copy paste answer kinda it doesnt matter if you understand the questions and what they mean thats kinda stupid I know buy here in Greece all it matter is if you learn the answers.. Thanks!

Hey, Coach. I am interested in taking your course. The lifetime deal is a pretty good deal but I can't afford that upfront. Are you sure you don't have anything I can do monthly? Hey, yes the video vault includes everything that you need and will include EKG review. The EKG masterclass is offered for students that want me to teach them scratch. The masterclasses are a helpful supplement for paramedic prep but not required. I always have my students start with the vault first.
