I would make a meal at my in-law’s house and my mother-in-law and I would argue about who would go last. Going before the last person was served was about more than she could handle. She couldn’t argue the ‘cook goes last’ rule, so I always won. lol

must be nice to have parents that actually cook. I taught myself to cook at 17 and pretty much became a professional after 9 months. when you been eating dog shit for 17 years, eating real home cooked food becomes a spiritual experience

That mom is literally my grandmother, at one point she had cancer (she’s doing great right now btw) and she wouldn’t let anyone do anything for her. My mom couldn’t even take care of the mash potatoes Olin Thanksgiving. She would rather sit outside than let anyone be without a chair.
