22:45 Ariana is a big fan of that retro sci-fi aesthetic from the 50s and 60s. The skin look overall is based on her make-up line/brand R.E.M, which has a space/astronaut theme. It still felt random to be added as a skin in the game tho lol

6:18 I think the fact that I Talk thinks Carnage is bad, is what makes it good. It’s a skin that’s not supposed to be appealing. Is supposed to gross you out and it succeeds at it.

Exactly! it’s supposed to make your skin crawl and make you scared of the possibility that he’ll definitely devour you whole or bite off your face and spit out your eyeballs as he drinks the blood from your lifeless corpse. (Sorry I’ve been watching too many Faith chapter 2 let’s plays) it’s not supposed to make you like him or make you think that he looks cool, he’s not a good guy and I think they nailed that ugly characteristic pretty well.

it's bad because it's not worthy of the tier 100 spot. there are no styles and the skin is literally fully red and has nothing special. if this skin wasn't a collab, it would probably be the worst bp skin ever

I think how they should do built-in emotes is that the emote comes with the skin, not from the battle pass. This is just so the bp isn't full of built-ins and actually have emotes in the bp. Having built-ins in a bp feels like epic is just being lazy imo.

My favorite skin in Chapter 2 Season 8 is definitely Geometrik. I love the colors of the fully reactive version and the gold style made the skin SOO much better! I also really liked Fabio Sparklemane. Almost all of his styles are amazing imo. His built in emote is hilarious and also terrifying.

El Chapulín Colorado, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine were easily my top 3 favorite skins from this season! Gaming Legends is always heat, Chris and Jill are two iconic characters of franchise I love, and the obscurity of El Chapulín Colorado, being made for a very specific audience (me being part of that audience) really reinforced my love for collab skins in Fortnite, because they can literally almost get anything in the game and I’m here for it!

I think Chaos Origins is a perfect design for a younger Chaos Agent. His outfit is a bit over the top, but it make sense as he got older he would wear something more simpler.

32:02 Surprisingly, the last time we saw this was in C2S7 with the Trespasser Elite skin. When it released, it only had one style and was worth 1500 as well. Thankfully, it at least received a style at the start of the next season.

Reskins vs RemixSkins Reskins are a simple color palette swap with sometimes added features to the original skins base Example:Gingerbread Raider and Dark Jonesy Remix skins are taking the concept of the original skin and rebuilding it from the same idea in a different way. Example: Ultima Knight and Driftwalker

Dark Skully was one of my favorite skins released that season. the Dark series is my favorite series. it was the only skin I wore since I got it and half of C3S1. it was my 1st and probably last console-exclusive. I really don't ever see myself buying a whole console(that I don't plan on using) just for a skin, when I can use the same amount of money to buy a lot more skins.

My favorite skin of ch2 s8 had to be curdle scream leader, even though i dont use him much, I honestly think hes so unique and creative, literally multiple skins put together to make this awesome creature, graven sits as my 2nd favorite, and for my favorite battle pass skin, fabio for sure, i need to run fabio more, no matter what people think

One of the reasons why I love the Charlotte skin is because it gave me an awesome vibe of the Demon Slayer: Kimestu No Yaiba anime. Probably because of the second edit style of her pickaxe, it just reminds of Tanjiro Kamado unleashing Hinokami Kagura on Rui and the Upper Rank 3 Moon demon.

21:42 Tbh that sand walking emote was a missed opportunity to put Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim for the music. That song has a lyric referencing that exact movement to avoid attracting the giant worms.

Charlotte,Kor and Torin were my favorites from this BP lol and I warmed up to the Cube Queen. Arcane Jinx, Jett, ione, Rick Grimes, Space Farer Ariana (cause of the badass alien style) The Batman who laughs, Shadow Midas, Loved the Naruto stuff, were all my favorite shop skins this season, Graveyard Drift as well..lol Chaos Origin and Sierra were great crew skins imo.

Those videos are really cool and relaxing in a strange way. Kinda make me feel nostalgic for older seasons, even the ones I didn't even played and make me remember skins that I would never ever seen and make want to get them (I'm waiting for you Cade). I wonder if he's gonna ever make more skin reviews like that for Chapter 3 Season 1 and onward

J.B. Chimpanski's emote was built in because people would use the emote to make racist statements when worn on other specific characters. Fabio's built in emote was because his head is much higher than others with his neck, causing everyone else to be glitched and stretched beyond belief.

@@genesisosuna yeah, because he keeps misunderstanding why things come out, when they state why they do. For the bride of frankenstien, they stated it was from the new universal monsters miniseries. This is why they brought her and the others back in March, due to the series being completed. For spacefarrer Ariana grande, it was for her new merch line, being space themed. For carnage, he is supposed to look ugly like that, that's the point. They can't just get other collab IP'S for stuff they can't get the rights to by the companies, which is why they mainly collab with marvel/dc, since they almost say yes to every single collab.

Easily my favorite skin of this season was Frankenstein’s Monster. I’m a huge Universal Monsters fan, so being able to play as one of my favorite film characters ever is a treat, and his entire set is amazing on top of that.

Kor and Charlotte were definitely the two skins that I ran the most during last season, Kor just gives off the mysterious assassin/agent theme so well and I absolutely love the longcoat that they gave her. It looks so good in all the styles excluding the third style; and Charlotte looks like a character from Ghost of Tsushima or Ninja Gaiden if anyone has ever seen or played that. It’s just a shame that we don’t have the option to equip her enchanted spirit style with the super level styles like we can with the other skins like kor or torin, i think she would’ve looked even cooler but hey.

27:57 The Batman who laughs is Batman from earth -22 or dark universe. Apparently in that universe, the joker finds out Batman’s identity and he kills the other rogues and commissioner gordon. He also poisoned the citizens of Gotham with the same chemicals that created the joker and killed a lot of parents in front of the children in order to create a combination of Batman and Joker, but Batman kills him and gets infected with a purified form of the chemicals that gradually turn him into a Batman/Joker fusion (combining their personalities and abilities) that becomes irreversible by the time he realizes what happened. He kills his allies and his son is turned into a mini joker and recruits the infected children as his rabid robins. I think he joined a group or something and he gets magic abilities or something because he ends up traveling to another universe and fights another Batman.

I lost my mind when Chris and Jill came to Fortnite and Leon and Claire are rumored to be coming in the future and I feel like they will come out when the Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes get their next gen updates for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S as a way to promote them and I feel like it will be a similar case for them as it was for the Street Fighter skins where Ryu and Chun Li came in Chapter 2 Season 5 with a second wave with Cammy and Guile coming 2 seasons later in Chapter 2 Season 7 and since both Jill and Chris came in Chapter 2 Season 8 I have a strong feeling we’ll see Leon and Claire in Chapter 3 Season 2 and I feel like their set name will be the “Raccoon City Set” since neither of them are S.T.A.R.S. members.

My only complaint about the Naruto Collab and sticking to the source material is the hidan scythe pickaxe and the Naruto scroll backbling, the reasoning for the pickaxe is because it feels so out of place with the rest of the items, Hidan wasn't a skin and it felt like the only reason why they chose to use his scythe was so that they could sell another pickaxe, one set of dualies, one two handed axe, and one sword. K appreciate variation but hidans scythe was so out of place with team 7. About the scroll backbling, the scroll goes with Naruto's sage mode kinda outfit in the anime but they didn't make that a style for Naruto in game, it doesn't make sense to have one or the other and it would have been amazing to see that style in game

The Batman who Laughs is Bruce Wayne still as the identity as Batman, but with a dose of Jokers Laughing Toxin. So in a way it's "joker" but with Bruce's knowledge and IQ

I think its telling that such a simple skin like charlotte is one of the best from the season. Fortnite needs to step back from doing weird outlandish extremely wacky skins like that weird unicorn skin and just do more simple slick designs 19:16 well yes, but not really. It's not fair to compare an actual artist like KAWS to NFT artists like Janky who only do virtual, intangible "art"
