I class myself as a beginner golfer. Focusing last week on my putting reduced my score by ten strokes! Hopefully this video will reduce that even further!

As a 7 handicap, this is great. My biggest struggle is pulling short putts. On longer putts i rarely miss my line, but on 5' sliders i find it hard to swing that smoothly. Definitely going to work on the first 2 drills every time i practice.

Nice and simple, thanks. Can you video more on putting ? How is your technique for long putts (lag putting) and which drills you use for pace control on longer (20-50 ft) putts (we find ourselves in many times)

Another marvelous training aid is fishing line stemming from behind the hole to however far out you'd like it on a flat green. From there, you can add in tees to create the gate drill. In order to simulate the ball (it will not balance/center on fishing line) is to put another tee a couple inches forward of the gate. Now, this tee will need to go in at an angle and the top of the tee should end up positioned right over the fishing line. It's done wonders for my putting.

Good drills - I use a gate but was also taught a drill where you putt ten with your left hand, ten with your right and then ten together. If you combine that with a gate, you will improve contact, pace, feel and so on. If you shoot a regulation par, you will hit your driver maybe 12 times but have 36 putts so it's fairly obvious which stroke is the most important.

Agree but also disagree off the tee is the most important because if you can’t get off the tee nothing else matters

I agree about the speed idea .. except .. most of the greens around home ..when they are really fast are about 9/10 on the stimpmeter .. yesterdays country club was about 12/13 ... the ball would slow down halfway to the hole .. and would be really slow at the hole ... and really slow at 3 feet beyond the hole .. and even slower at 4 feet passed the hole .. and think about maybe coming to rest at 6 feet passed the hole ... maybe ...

Yes love that, especially for indoor use as you need to be fairly certain the ground in perfectly flat 👍

My biggest thing at the moment I am seem to be getting angry a lot when playing silly shots and just seems to build up over the round. Any tips would be grateful Chris.😀👍
