Totally agree about Darkseid War deserving as Absolute Edition. Jason Fabok's art is the best !

The New Frontier is a whale because the creator of it Darwyn Cooke died a few years ago. There was also a rumor that he paid DC to keep the books he worked on to be in print.

Thanks again for another great vid, they really opened my eyes. Until now I had mainly read what most people consider to be some of the best Batman and Daredevil books, but I just ordered 4 of the books you talk about and I am greatly looking forward to reading them. I more or less rediscovered Superman for the first time since my childhood early this year through the Smallville TV series which I watched for the first time and loved a lot, and I read Superman: Secret Identity this summer, which was a great read.

Thanks for educating us some more on DC, dude! One small piece of advice: I would have splitted this to at least 2 different vids. One for Absolutes, one for omnis, and maybe a different one for the book sizes. That way they are at a more manageable length, and you get to roll out more vids. Keep it coming!

International rocks. That was a good run. Also, there are a couple of issues (the annuals I believe) that Willingham (the Fables writer) drew. Mid 80s DC - when they rebooted their universe after CRISIS - was great shit, and Justice League was my favorite. Another great vid. Now I have to buy Detroit and Infinite.

I wish the omnibus had the Mail Room part at the end of every comic. Those were always full of helpful and interesting information. It also gives you a glimpse of the people behind the comics.

I thought you might forget the absolute Justice League Worlds Greatest Superheroes but you did get it edited in there. I was pleasantly surprised when I put it up against my other absolutes that it was even wider than those, which really makes Alex Ross' panels pop! The book actually retails for $75 (you mentioned $50) but I got mine for just a little over $40. This is a little thinner than your typical absolute. The thinnest absolute will probably be the Killing Joke that will be coming out soon (that one will be for $50 retail). Not sure I'll get that one though.

Yup Identity Crisis is my fave Crisis bro! That Deathstroke methodically, dismantling and destroying the justice league was so badass. I really wish they wrote characters fighting more like that instead of just lame hack and slash. But yeah I'm waiting for DC to make that JLA Morrison Omni. That's hands down my fave JLA version. dope vid alot of content to cover dc have it down with the absolutes usually choose great stuff to put in the format like planetary, Sandman, preacher wish there was more of the non Super hero ones, is it a common thing for the absolutes to get spine damage just recently got a new absolute planetary #1 broke my piggy bank for it and it came with pulled spine same thing happened to Sandman #1 so downgraded to the omnibie for Sandman save myself the money and heart break keep up the good work love the vids would you ever do one focusing on specific writers or artists liek say Rick remender who has so many dope image comics out, seven to eternity, Black science, Tokyo ghost, low, deadly class and honerable mention to fear agent

Don’t know where you’ve head the Darkseid War is a bad story. Everyone I know absolutely loved it. Easily the best part of the JL New 52. Epic fucking story man, damn good art by Jason Fabok, and a killer story by the man Geoff Johns. I mean it’s Darkseid vs. Anti-Monitor. What more could you want? Definitely needs to be next on your “to-read” list. Would love to see it as an Absolute one day. Also can’t wait for that Infinite Crisis omnibus reprint. And they’ve recently solicited a 10th anniversary Final Crisis omnibus with all the tie-ins, set to come out in fall of this year. Great video as always man. Keep up the good work brother
