@@dorcasmalahlela2805I feel it's lighter if your coming from a membrane, and it's a bit heavy if your used to mechanical keyboards, especially something like cherry mx reds, gat reds, or any other switch commonly found in stock keyboards. I do recommend these for the price. In my country, these things are $0.27 a piece, and even cheaper getting the boxes. the weight is 58g for actuation force, which I think is best for me, because I find gat yellows too light. Coming from a membrane, I think this isn't for you, because it may be too light, and will affect your typing speed or gaming performance. The actuation force really depends on the user, cuz my friends and parents find it too light, because most of them come from membranes. So in conclusion, yes I recommend this if it's not your first time you tried mechanical keyboards, but if you're from membrane, do consider something else. And for this I recommend jwick ultimate blacks with the 63.5g spring, because it's a similar feel, just linear, and as soon as you get used to it you can try basically any other switch no problem, unless it's heavier. I think it needs a mid press, because this is my 2nd custom I've built now. Good luck, and I hope this helps :D

The cream blues are my favorite tactiles from Akko. This is the only P shaped (early bump) tactile bump from them afaik & they have a clacky sound (high pitch, but not poppy like the crystal blues). I would however swap the springs to a lighter 22mm spring for a snappier feel. At only ~$5.5 from Taobao they are AMAZING value.

Wow, those were a lot of switches to cover and lube. Thank you so much, wish we could see more love and detailed coverage like this one for Akko switches on KZfaq. You got yourself a sub. The only Akko switches I've owned are Jelly Blacks (hand lubed) and Lavenders (pre lubed). I like both linears and tactiles a lot and was looking for something as creamy as my lubed Jblacks(they're amazing on my Keychron v1), but a little bit lighter and easier to press. From all your replies seems like V3 cream yellows would be the answer, but they're out of stock at my local Akko vendor (can't buy directly from Akko because of customs issues). Trying to decide between the CS airs and the v3 Cream Blues. I don't really mind tactile, but I doubt I'll find an experience better than the lavenders. Maybe if I lube the CBs heavily enough. Idk, ranting now! Anyway, excellent video and thanks.

The Keebroll cuts are so useful for judging the switches, wish more reviewers did that! Thanks for doing this extensive showcase of the Akko switches. Just commenting that for the interference section, you could have presented the data in a table (YES/NO interference as the column headers and the switch name/pictures underneath, pole length and other data optional) instead of just showing them on camera and relying on subtitles, since it makes it much more easier to understand at a glance.

I used to have a Red Switch Keyboard but had to buy a new one cuz it broke. I now bought the same keyboard (RK61) but in came with Brown Switches because it was on sale. Akko switches (aside from the pre-lubed variants) are not factory lubed aside from the dry lube that’s on the leaf which is not thick enough to potentially cause overlubing, you can basically treat them as bone dry switches and just lube them conventionally.

if you don’t plan on lubing the pom silvers and want to use them for a prolonged period of time til they get smoother themselves, id say its worth it. also as both silver are on the same price point. its only a matter of wether you want it smoother/creamier or you want the crystal body for better rgb. for the nk creams, i cant really comment on it as i havent tried it

How is creamy yellow comparing to jelly black? I prefer thock build and wanna try akko switches but don't know which ones should i choose as there are so many switches.
@mczstudio
@mczstudio Жыл бұрын
the jelly black is slightly heavier. it uses a longer spring and bottom out force is at 60gf compared to cream yellow's 58gf. although operating forces is same at 50gf. I find the cream yellow more pleasing in sound profile. you can check the my typing and keeb roll sound of the jelly black in my previous vid! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJ6Zf5l4usDInJs.html

How's the tactile event of the POM Brown's compared to the Cream Blue's in your opinion? Is it lite like other common brown switches (gateron/cherry/etc.) or better?
@mczstudio
@mczstudio Жыл бұрын
i havent tried any other brown switches so i cant really compare few difference i've notice between the pom brown and cream blue is the tactile location, pom brown will have an obvious recess before it gives the bump. cream blue on the other hand, the tactility was right on top. another large difference, is the cream blue was very snappy, and audibly louder than the pom brown

i’d say the crystals are a must lube. the v3 line, snow blue grey and cs air are fine stock. though definitely better when lubed. the pom line are scratchy ootb but pom materials tend to smoothen out over time with prolonged usage.

How do you think the linears from these compare to jelly blacks? I'm looking to buy the jelly blacks but I wanna know which ones are better. And which ones do you think are the best. I'm only looking for the 3 pins.
@mczstudio
@mczstudio Жыл бұрын
hi! choosing one 'best' will be kind of difficult as these linears also falls into different categories! but we can narrow it down on which is the best according to its price, we can choose cream yellow. and its near to how heavy jelly black can be if thats the kind of weight you are going for! hope this helps ~

Hey MCZ, I’m new to the hobby, for the akko cream yellows, you said there was a small tug. Does that mean there is interference with cherry keycaps and north facing leds because it didn’t get caught? So is there interference and is it 100 percent certain? Thx and btw I was the 1000 like!
@mczstudio
@mczstudio Жыл бұрын
hi! for 13.5 stems i stated no interference, just slight friction. interference are not 100% certain as cherry keycaps are not manufactured uniformly. I mentioned about that on my pinned comments on this video.

I want my board to be more on deep sound but I only bought 1 box so for now I installed POM Silver as Mod keys and CS Silver as my Alpha. Space bar's sound? I love them on POM Silver its deep! tho I only tried Radiant Red, CS Silver and Jelly purple (not coming back up I hate them) I don't want to waste money that's why I am keeping my CS Silver as my Alpha :D but....
