the more I use deliverance the more I realize just how insanely better riptide is

Demo is 20% on a special and 22 if enhanced. So it’s 4-5 kills to get your nade back, if you are not mad building into that already

​@@Ysl489 dont take this the wrong way, but starfire exists, hoil exists, and nades on hunter are kind of eh. Wouldve been better before we had so many ways to regen nades, but even then, not exactly great.

You do realize lingering dread has chill clip and blinding and now that stasis are able to stun overload and unstoppable the usage rate of lingering dread is going to sky rocket even more

@@50_Sea_50_Weed it’s not about it’s blinding power it’s the fact that it can roll chill clip and has an elemental affinity tied to it that makes it better than other kinetic primary GLs since in lightfall it seems that we are getting stasis shield and strand shields enemies moving forward. Even bungie has said it kinetic legendary weapons mostly special don’t offer enough viability since kinetic doesn’t have any affinity that can synergies with subclasses

I made a comment about this too, traces are so good for double special that the best speed runners in the world literally use ones that have shoot to loot for memes Their perks barely matter as they are incredibly powerful base and contribute to ridiculous heavy drops

@@GhostCakes23 do you think it would be useful for day one raids? My main concern is that I usually run out of ammo fairly quickly when using double specials, but I guess the extra heavy drops would make up for it. I guess I could also see myself using the trace until it runs out of ammo, then switch to a primary

@@lazeatscrayons2426 they're not for every situatuon, yeah. Especially in high end content when you're under level. Hollow denial has lead from gold that may solve the ammo problem

​@@lazeatscrayons2426 Not always the best choice for something like a day 1 no, but for most content they outshine primaries in almost every way. Also it really depends on the day 1 encounter. For example, kings fall totems was made easy through using Heritage, Retraced Path, and Gjhallarhorn. Gally deals with the majors that spawn the wizards as well as packs of ads, Retraced and Heritage deal with everything else. Pairing it with any of the solar builds and font of might/well of life made for a great build IMO. Special finisher can get your ammo back if ammo economy becomes an issue, especially with classes utilizing Hands On (super energy on melee kills) or Ashes to Assets (super energy on grenade final blows). Additionally, running some finders/scavengers can help or Hollow Denial specifically has Lead from Gold, and being that you generate so much heavy you end up wasting a heavy shot just to pick up a brick to proc the perk. I know this next part is a wall of text but I just want to give you an idea of what I mean For example, I was farming Master Caital pretty much all week when it was around, and I was running Izanagi (damage + works well with bait and switch and I had a friend already using wither + weakening clear), Hollow Denial (this trace over Retraced Path because of void shields, if there weren't any shields I'd feed into Font of Might), and Cataclysmic (bait and switch plus font of might is nuts). Hollow Denial being void would easily shut down the incendior shields on master and you could kill them with a bit more ammo, or do what I was doing which was to weaken them down for a melee. On a solar hunter with knife trick and assassins cowl, the melee would kill them from about half health making me invis and healing me through cowl as well as providing radiant. The knife refunds, and through hands on is an easy super generator. Alternatively on a solar titan, once you have roaring flames x3 the shield burst (breaking a shield with the correct element deals bonus damage and stun) is enough for the melee to one shot making the trace even better. On a warlock I used karnstein for healing but I had a friend using Hollow Denial and starfire with a very similar method. Whenever my friends or I ran low on special, I would weaken a psion through my trace, get the finisher, and provide ammo. It takes a 1/4 of your super I believe, but with hands on and infinite throwing knifes that heal you it only takes a few to get the super back. All of these create wells, which you can utilize font of might and something like well of life on top of it if you want. If you're doing the starfire method, substitute Hands on for Ashes to Assets and it serves the same purpose if you ever need special ammo. Hopefully this helps!

@@lazeatscrayons2426when u run low on special, just swap to your heavy and kill some enemies with your abilities, also you wanna run finder mods or if possible scavengers mods for your special weapon. If that’s not possible and u still run into ammo issues, have a second pair of boots and chest with heavy scavenger & reserve mods to hotswap when u need the heavy. Used this for day 1 kingsfall, worked super well.

Auto loading and demo with spike nades on lingering dread is a nice general purpose special weapon.

You forgot that close to melee refreshes on melee hits. You don't need to pop an add every 10 seconds, you can just keep stabbing.

It's too slow it freeze a barrier before it can replace it's shield due to it being a high impact frame

I think A tier is a better spot for Aurvandil, you're right

The biggest reason imo to use chill clip is to cheese barrier but Aurvandil is too slow to get the 2 shots before a barrier replaces it's shield while riptide can

Agreed. Bonk with syntho or bubble with syntho carried me hard the last season or so. Unfortunately, it doesn't proc Demo but if it did it would be absolutely broken so it makes sense.

I have that roll, auto loading is better than slideshot imo. Also riptide is better

@@unit1873 you only need one shot to blind though, it has it’s use cases but overall i prefer shooting a single shot then swapping without having to slide

@pirate135246 depends on ad density. Duality and glassway GM for example. Big rooms. Spread enemies. Autoloading truth teller is still great though. Just depends what content I'm doing

@@quixel17 it does and it stacks, so you get a big health chunk and then another big health chunk
