I suppose because of poor song choice by the coaches in the late stages of the show like Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus or an old boring song like Heaven by Bryan Adams. Every time Matthias chooses a song, it is a fantastic performance. I was too surprised that he did not win. Total trash.

I’ll never forget the first time I heard Matthias perform “Bed of Roses”, it changed my life forever. I get the same amazing feeling everything time I hear him sing it. I love his voice, he is truly unique and an amazing singer

I love this singer, and for me his version of: "sign of the times" which he did in his comeback of the voice this year and which we see at the 15th minute of this recap is the best version world never heard in a talent show of this song

I think there were obvious bad song choices that both times he didn’t get to the finals. Wrecking ball wasn’t for him, and Heaven I’ve always felt it like a downer. It’s so sad, there is no The Voice contestant that have capture my attention as him.

Why did this guy not win on 2 seasons. Unbelievable. He is incredible and will always be my champion. I'm actually shocked. His voice range from rock n roll to high note love songs is incredible. He's so comfortable onstage, and he makes hitting them crazy notes look easy. I honestly can't believe he did not win. Travisty.

I cant believe he did not win. I was randomly watching some blind audition vid and the first time i heard his voice i was already mesmerized! This man clearly deserves a seat in the singing industry! He may not have won but he is undeniably talented and have the stage presence!

Matthias is sooo amazing! We come back to watch all of his songs every few months. So wish he would put out an album or 2 or 3. I’m a Grama and grew up through all of the old great rock. All of our old rockers are dying. We need a new breed. Today’s music is not even music. We need singers like Matthias to keep real rock alive. Love you, wonderful young man.

His charming voice makes your tears flow from extreme happiness and elation at the same time. There is no doubt that he deserves all the love, respect and appreciation. Gaining votes is an easy matter, it may be deserved or it may be fraudulent. But winning hearts and capturing their pulses is something that only the unique deserves And Matthias is the one who best deserves all this noble love.

La plus belle prestation que j’ai vu et entendu dans The Voice pourtant j’habite en France et j’ai entendu de belles voix mais Mathias est au-dessus du lot c’est incroyable sa voix est tout simplement incroyable !!!! Je n’arrive toujours pas à comprendre pourquoi il n’a pas gagné il était au-dessus des autres

I'm glad I finally get to hear judges from another country. I'm in the USA and Mathias Nebel is my fav! I can't believe he's been on twice and has not won. He needs to go for Voice USA or America's got talent. He would win.

I've been lurking around the webs for so many years... I'm also from Portugal. I'm also born in 1984... This performance... It's just so glorious! The nostalgia of course is strong but even younger people are rocking to this... This makes me so happy and heartfelt. Going into the future we need this kind of song that can touch so many souls. Please, younger generations, don't forget about this! I hope he can stay true to his feeling. It's so hard out there when you've had success.
