I would go as far as saying that infinity war is the best comic book movie ever made. The insane culmination of so many characters coming together to fight one major foe and LOSING. The whole aspect of loss is exactly why this movie shines as much as it does.

This is an amazing video idea! The DCEU will probably rank much lower on average, but there are a few of them (specifically by Zack Snyder) that would make it into the top 10 for me.

I have already seen Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness three times and plan on seeing it again! I loved it! This was a great ranking of the MCU and DCU Sean.

I don't get people complaining about movies being connected to the MCU yeah at times it can be a bit much *ultron* but what I love especially in phase 3, and also in phase 4 is that the MCU feels like it's not just a bunch of movies that rare connect, almost every movie and show has at least one moment of someone or something showing up from elsewhere in the MCU, it makes it really feel like it's a shared universe. Compare that to the DCEU where even if all movies end up being connected....it rarely feels like a shared universe.

Um thats the issue with the messy phase 4. Everything is just a commercial for the next thing. Cameos suck, storytelling is greater. And so far phase 4 has shit storytelling with no way home being one of the worst narrative of marvel

It was bound to happen. The MCU literally changed Hollywood. So many studios want to emulate their success. But when they do something as grand and ambitious as Infinity War and Endgame, everybody stops to say "Now what? How you gonna top that?" People want everything at the level of the Infinity Saga now. I get it. And at the end of the day, it's all subjective to opinions anyway.

@@True-Believer616 yeah, I like that marvel is being slow right now with the MCU, yes they introduced the next big bad, but they aren't rushing towards it. Instead we have all of the little projects that are progressing towards things.

@@True-Believer616 i would much rather standalone stories. However, these stories arent standalone which means they should be building to something, the story is lackluster right now with no end game in sight.

@@merksmovies25 We shouldn't already know what they're building toward. There was no endgame in sight during Phase 1. And the Infinity Saga lasted for 3 phases. Some of those movies had no major bearing on the main story. This phase will be similar I'm thinking.

I think Far From Home is underrated as far as a character development film. Peter goes through so much grief and challenges and grows throughout the film.

I’m love how high Man of Steel is! It is one of the most underrated films of all time IMO. However, I do think that No Way Home is slightly underrated. However I respect your opinions and I love your content!

How exactly is it beautiful? MCU films in general (and these make no exception) are known to be visually bland probably due to their reliance on CGI which makes it quite difficult to get good contrast. The cinematography is also wildly unimpressive(hopefully not in dr strange 2 haven't seen it yet)

Pretty much agree with your list, I would just switch far from home with homecoming with far from home. Also Guardians of the galaxy2 with Antman and the wasp. Probably would of have BVS higher up.

Love this list, only a few small changes. Captain Marvel at the bottom. Iron Man 2 higher (maybe in the teens?): Love the dialog when he is testifying before Congress, love Justin Hammer, and love self destruct version of Tony. And lastly, my top 5: Spider-Man homecoming, Thor Ragnarok, Captain America Winter Soldier, Avengers Infinity War, Avengers Endgame.

Speaking of DC, with the merging of Warner Bros and Discovery finally happened, the complete overhaul of DC Entertainment to have a more coherent and creative brand strategy, and planning to make their films more like Todd Phillips' Joker and Revitalize top-shelf characters that had been left to languish like Superman. Do you think when "The Flash" movie comes out they should continue their plans for the Snyderverse and restore it? Or: Give a hard fresh reboot on the cinematic universe and create a well-ordered and well built one with the fantasy, magic, and fun that the DC Universe is known for? What do you think? Restore? Or: Reboot?

Even though I think Sean is a good critic, it still baffles me to this day how he has no problem with a 4 hour comic book movie, but judges the Irishman’s 3 hours and 20 minute runtime

I'm very glad that the Snyder version of JL exists, but some of y'all are vastly, vastly overrating it. It has a lot of structural and plot issues - many of which were also present in the theatrical cut. Like it all you want but let's be honest about it's flaws and not call it a masterpiece.

My problems with it (No order): #1: Its 4 damn hours #2: We only see a cameo of Martian Manhunter even though he can easily fit or replace a character #3: SteppenWolf feels like he was forced by Darkseid to attack the JL which makes him feel less like a threat

I mean that it is even comparable to Infinity War with like 15 less movies to build tension, build a world, relationships is an achievement in my opinion. The truth has come out over long time, ZS did everything asked of him and probably more. If he had support to release his cuts that allowed him to get the Oscar nominations his films would've received, the DCEU would be considered the Prestige Version of the MCU. The Red Robin to Marvels McDonalds if you will. Literally the only reasons people hate the DCEU was they saw vastly inferior to the point of absurdity theatrical cuts and then Suicide Squad. Everything else is great.

It hurts a bit fot Eternals, I love that movie, easily in my Top10, maybe even Top5. I honestly remember every single character much more than many of the secondary characters in other MCU and DCEU movies. And the themes were refreshing for a superhero movie. Some scenes were so impactful. It's not "a movie for few" like some people like to say, but I do get that you either love it or hate it.
