That’s the only use I could think of for the bat besides for a new potion. Bat wings should be used for a brewing recipe tbh.

@@Approvedjoey117 A niche use for bats is that they can be used in redstone builds as a way to get a pressure plate to be tripped at random points. All you need to do is build a little 1 block tall box for them with 1 pressure plate in there somewhere. Honestly I don't know why I'm saying this because there is almost no way to use this in survival, but it's cool if you're trying to build a spooky map and you want some flickering lights.

OH PLEASE LET THIS BE REAL. Bats are my favorite animals. Bats do tons of good things IRL. Minecraft is a game with tons of environments that bats like. They need something that justifies their presence in the eyes of the majority. At least let us breed them...

I’m a bedrock player right now just because it’s the most convenient but when bats were first introduced and I was playing Java they were the most annoying things especially in flat worlds for some reason

The enderman can only pick up around 20 specific blocks (dirt, sand, TNT, etc) so most of your blocks are safe. I think that the mechanic of the enderman picking up blocks is really cool and unique.

What he says about the Stray can also be applied to the Husk. When you're in the Desert and the extreme heat in the Desert, the higher you're vulnerable to dehydration and starvation. Husks can give you hunger (if I'm thinking correctly) and Strays can give you slowness (I'm assuming) which fits well with the Snow Biomes.

Tbh, while you can get dead pufferfish from actual pufferfish, it's kinda a waste, and so most people (I hope!) use pufferfish caught by a rod, which is technically already dead.

"he's going to hurt you every single time." SHIELDS! Use a shield! Literally if you have a choice between full iron and shield, make the shield. Stop the arrows and block at least a quarter second before they shoot you. Skeletons absolutely are beatable even on hard difficulty if you use the intended counter.

Skeletons on bedrock have an irregular shooting pattern so you cant block them with shields most of the time

If you got bat wings you could make a glide potion. Acts like the elytra, but lasts a limited amount of time. Bat wings could be a really rare drop, therefore still making elytra very useful.

The vindicator does too have a personality. It has an axe. that means it can disable shields. It also does nearly one shot damage on hard difficulty, and moves at a sprint. They're one of the hardest mobs to fight or flee and they make using a shield not a get out of jail free card.

I’m gonna say that dogs can be pretty useful cuz one of them did save my life when a baby zombie chased into my house, but sometimes trying to get dogs into your house / trying to keep them safe in general can be quite some work, especially if you have many of them.

Im not a pvp player but considering the current pvp mechanics it must be somewhat effective, though In a singleplayer or simply not very pvp centered multiplayer wolves are near useless, wolf armor should be a thing

Bows with infinite, flame and power IV enchantments are lovely. I pick those Phantoms out of the sky and have multiple stacks of phantom membranes to show for it in my short Minecraft life. They're great for Exp too. Simply make a box made of glass about 9x9x5 or so, make a 1x3 opening in the roof, sit with your head at height of the glass opening and pick them off as they dive onto the glass, stuck in dive mode able to be shot

A lot of these need re-works. I'd honestly not mind the next mini-update being focused on revamping current mobs that don't work very well.

Bats have TONS of potential and are facing tons of dangers IRL. Of all mobs, they need the update the most. Let 'em echolocate or pollinate or attack arthropods, something, ANYTHING. (Oh yeah also please make the mechanic positive and show the good things bats do for us) -Signed, a totally not biased bat lover

Yes, thank you, somebody finally said it. I personally like exploring my Minecraft world but there are so many mobs that are just useless and boring (husks, cave spiders, pandas, poor bats and the GODDAMN llamas!). I also think Mojang should add more hostile arthropods since the bane of a. enchantment is so pointless to use, you can just use it on 5 hostile mobs with 2 of them being somewhat useful against (spiders and silverfish), then again sharpness is just much more versatile.

@@Rex-fm3vj probably more variations like fruit and/or vampire bats, maybe it could attack arthropods ( if mosquitoes were a thing in Minecraft, I think they would be so good), and some potion ingredient ( maybe for a potion of levitation or some new effect), but the chance of it dropping should be very low, so it won't be very exploitable

Well it's because put of those three the spider jockey can spawn by itself where as a charged creeper has to be made and same with the brown mooshroom there for naturally spawning although he could have counted charged creeper as it does have a purpose unlike brown mooshrooms

Well technically they don’t naturally spawn you have to make them while the spider jockey does spawn by itself. But it’s contradicting to what he said in the beginning, ranking every mob that exists in the game. 🤷♀️

I'm sure lots of people have probably said this already, but he never mentioned that the puffer fish can be used to create potions of water breathing, which are actually useful... and then placed the rabbit higher because it makes potions of leaping, which are not useful.I would place the puffer fish higher than it was. Also he didn't mention that the dolphin gives you a super speed boost, which is the fastest way to travel in minecraft if you use a riptide trident along with it. Dolphins should be higher too.

Cave spiders are good. They balance abandoned mineshafts and make them an area where just stacking up diamond armor doesn't make you safe. I like cave spiders in the role they're in. And if you don't like being poisoned by them, well, it's called Easy difficulty for a reason.

Zoglins are a good addition. They're good utility mobs because of how tanky and aggressive they are. Particularly for witch farms as witches cannot damage them.

Changing phantom spawn mechanic would improve immensely. Just make them nighttime mob that needs height clearance. Bats should have a drop useful for potions- slowfall, sonar. Bears and wolves should have an random aggro depending on game mode. Wandering trades really needs better trades and refresh.

In most games, frozen effects slow enemies. Perhaps the snow golem's snowballs slow enemies? Then you could have another type of golem that struggles to hit faster moving mobs, but could hit the frozen slow ones? There are so many ideas out there, and I wish they could be implemented.

not only are phantom membranes something that could've easily been replaced with something else, even WITH them, I never use them to repair my elytra, cause I just put mending and unbreaking 3 on it, and let's be honest, by the time most people have access to an elytra, they have the ability to put those enchantments on it too.

As much as I adore the mooshroom, my #1 mob will always be skeleton horses. They don’t need to be tamed, they spawn in herds from a sickass lightning strike, they sometimes spawn with armor, they drop bones, they make really cool noises, you can swim with them infinitely, and they look badass. What’s not to love?

Something that would be cool Is if you made a snow golem and next to an Iron golem The Iron golem would become a frost guardian. That has more armor than a normal Iron Golem and slows enemies

Half of the worst mobs here are perfect for redstone and other things, eg turtle shell helmet, sticky pistons, slime balls from wandering traders if you don’t have a slime chunk, and more.

Exactly! Like, he put the enderman so low because it moves blocks and breaks a cardinal rule of Minecraft, but the ravager and the creeper ranked near the top. He said he wouldn’t cover mobs that weren’t coming, “like the zombie horse”, when talking about the illusioner, but then he ranked the zombie horse in the top 20. It was a very inconsistent video. Edit: What I feel like you were really getting at, which I agree with, is that he would compliment a mob for good aspects of its design, then move up the list and point out flaws in the next mob’s design or rant about it. Again, rampant inconsistency.

As someone who is trying to recreate a mega build that uses an absolute ton of dark prismarine, I really really really hope that mojang/microsoft adds another way to get black dye (and yes, I know you can get black dye from wither roses, but I have yet to find a wither rose farm that is able to be continually used, all the ones I see repurposes a wither killer into a short term wither rose farm)
