@@shone4781 Minato is already a chakra sensor type on par with Tobirama so he really doesn't need sage mode to sense people. Nevertheless it is not a plot hole for many reasons. Everything about chakra and DNA implants was explained through Karin, one of the best sensors in the anime. 1) When Sasuke was fighting at the Kage summit, Karin explained that Sasuke's chakra was much more darker and sinister than even when he was using curse seal, and she said that she didn't even recognise his chakra anymore. This shows that mangyekou users under the Uchiha's curse of hatred can have their chakra completely change to the point that it is unrecognizable even to a very good sensor type ninja, and Obito obviously fits the profile to a T. 2) DNA implants also change a person's chakra signature to the point of being unrecognizable. This was explained when Karin didn't recognize Kabuto's chakra during the war and they were rushing to Sasuke's aid. Orochimaru explained that Karin probably didn't recognize Kabuto'ss chakra because of the DNA implants he put into himself. Obito had almost half of his body transplanted with Zetsu cells. In conclusion, given that Obito had the mangyekou and was cursed with the Uchiha hatred, and that he had so much of his body implanted with another's cells, his chakra would have been completely unrecognizable to Minato, sage mode or no sage mode. There is no plot hole here.

Tim Woods Minato did master sage mode, he was a perfect sage. The problems he had (not being able to hold it for a long time and taking too long to enter sage mode) are the exact same problems Naruto had despite being a perfect sage. Naruto got better because he kept repeatedly using sage mode in his battles and kept training for sage mode. He did that because without sage mode he was just a weakling shadow clone spammer. He had no choice but to work hard at it. Even then sage mode still takes time even for a perfect sage, the only one who can instantly enter sage mode is Kabuto and that is because he implanted Jugo's cells into himself and Jugo has the ability to constantly and subconsciously absorb sage energy. Minato simply didn't bother training further with it because for someone like him, who values speed and instantly ends battles, sage mode would have been a waste of time. Also he didn't really need to rely on it. I'm sure if he had met an opponent who took him to the brink, he would have gone back to Konoha and put every effort he could into using it better. Anyway, the fact that he is a perfect sage and is able to hold the kyubi inside of him does make one wonder if this guy isn't a secret member of the Senju clan. I say this because it was established that only a Senju/Uzumaki can master sage mode. Think about. Hashirama is a Senju, Naruto is a Senju, and Kabuto, while not a Senju by birth, did implant Karin's cells into himself. In fact, he expressly stated that he used Jugo's DNA in order to gain the ability to subconsciously and contantly gather sage energy AND most significantly, that he used Karin's Uzumaki DNA in order to control and balance out the sage energy. This directly implies that you need Senju/Uzumaki DNA to control sage mode, hence why Orochimaru and Jiraiya were unable to master it. Minato is the only one who did that isn't expressly stated to be a Senju, however, doesn't the fact that he mastered it mean that he is in fact a Senju? There are many other reasons to believe Minato is a Senju, on fact, Kishi has pretty much told us repeatedly that he is a Senju without expressly saying it. Too much forshadowing.

Interesting theory, but redundant, and tbh I don´t think there is any reason to believe sharingan eyes of the same person are somehow forever linked or whatever.

The Mangekyo Sharingan is only awakened when you lose the person closest to you. It doesn’t have to be at your hand; several Uchiha only tried doing that because they felt it was a cop-out. In fact, Sasuke awakened his because Itachi died of an illness, and in turn Itachi awakened his because Shisui committed suicide.

Deidara was not the only bad guy that Sasuke defeated. Danzo was the only bad guy (Deidara committed suicide so he doesn’t count). Not like Sasuke cares because he still could go Gary Stu on all the good guys because he’s so EMO.

Well I'm just guessing but it could due to 1) Him killing Asuma 2) He and Kakuzu (My favourite member) were the most underutilised villains. ( But they accomplished more than Konan did). and finally 3) It honestly feels they were made just for plot. Hidan was there just to give Shikarmaru character development and Kakuzu was there to introduce the rasenshuriken and lose as one of the most infuriating defeatsand anti climatic fights the series has had.
