Speaking as someone who owns one, it's actually pretty hard to break it by dropping. When it's closed, it's actually MORE durable than any other phone. And the inner screen is protected by a raised bezel. I've had mine for a month and it's still pristine. Of course, it is still Linus...

@@abubakrakram6208 I have very little confidence after watching Jerry rig everything's video. The fact that the screen can be scratched by your fingernails and pixels can be ruined by pressing too hard means the phone is too fragile for most use cases. God forbid you have lint or dirt in your pocket and it gets inside the hinge. I'd break this thing inside 6 months and I take excellent care of my gadgets.

This is a huge benefit of the Fold's tiny screen that a lot of people don't realize. Because it's so slender when folded, it's easy as heck to use one-handed. Any phone that's wider (read: all of them) will me much more difficult to manage.

they deserve it honestly for trying to monopolize graphics cards by downgrading software for other card types on games like the witcher 3 which in itself is a graphically intensive game seriously FUCK NVIDIA Radeon all the way and that is coming from a old Nvidia fanboy since Radeon already makes superiorly built and powered products anyways

@@V8_Diva fair enough that would probably turn me off to the only reason i side with them now is because nvidia's software as even and indie programmer to me is a shitshow as even there password changing system on there basic software is broken to this day and monopolizing graphics cards which didnt help thanks to around that time crypto mining was huge and by the point everyone realized how unprofitable and scummy crypto mining is amd blew them out of the water with the new parts

I'm not aware of any tablets that operate like normal mobiles (talk/text over the traditional cellular network). Maybe there are some (maybe in Asia), but it's certainly not normal for a tablet. Also I'm not aware of any tablets of that size either; although I could be wrong.

@@MsHojat I don't know if it's still the case, but the first line of Samsung tablets worked like a phone. Most of the people who used tablets at my old job, used them as phones instead of having a mobile phone also. Those were the smaller ones though, and most of them have probably gone away and been replaced by phablets.

If only they made pants with utility pockets and jackets with regular pockets that could fit a 8.5" oled phablet like I've been using for 3 years. I'm more interested in the twin view dock-able dual screen rog phone 2 than this since it gives more modular options, two big batteries, and is dual 120hz oled with a snapdragon 855 plus processor overclockable, with several other accessory options to boot. The dual view in that scenario is more for dual monitor usage rather than one big screen of course but would suit my multitasking addiction just fine. It seems linus realized he could not look at a screen for awhile. For the times he takes out and unfolds a full phablet size screen he could pull out an actual phablet from a decent sized pocket or a flip-to-tablet-mode ultrabook or small flip laptop in a 1-strap half-backpack like those used for cameras or full small backpack (which could also hold chargers and accessories, a switch, headphones, etc.). For the smaller 8.5" phablets they fit in a larger pocket (jacket, vest jacket, carharrt pant thigh pocket, etc). I guess I'm not the skinny jeans lady pocket type guy. Currently I keep my samsung note on a fitness strap phone holder on my bicep so I'm really not into sticking my phone into my pants on my ass where I sit or in front top pockets next to or on top of my balls.

yeah also me from Turkey. Cars cost here 2 times more because of the taxes. Because our goverment doesn't get only tax from the base price they also get tax of the tax, i mean if the base price of the car is $30,000, its tax is $30,000 and after that tax of the tax is $15,000, so you pay $75,000 for the car to buy it.

In the future it'll be ultra high rez clear glass AR displays that can not only create virtual screen sizes and aspects anywhere in real space to your perspective but also virtual objects and people, characters/assistants and heads up data "mouseovers", animated "how to" overlays on objects, skins and animated skins and meshes on objects and people - robots, drones, streets, cars, houses, etc. Carrying around and staring at a brick in your hand is going to look very primitive in retrospect. A foldable screen clipboard isn't really that advanced compared to where we should be going eventually imo, which is bringing the virtual world out of the magic mirror looking glass.

@@mhammadalloush5104 I just looked up Royole cause I never heard it, but what I can say is that Samsung's version is much better overall. The screen is inward so it's not touching pockets, bags, and hands outside of when you want to. Plus, the Galaxy Fold does so completely without the Royole's weird middle long crease. They solved the problem in different ways, but I feel the compromises Samsung made aren't as bad as the ones Royole made like the bar on the side of the phone when open. Samsung is trying to keep the modern look while exploring new models.

thats what I'm saying. sure the phone is big, but its also the wrong ratio. gaming might be okay, but he's talking bullshit about videos. They blew up those videos so you couldnt see the massive black bars. I think Linus is just horny for anything different. If he used this for 6 months and someone came out with a 6 inch widescreen flat phone, he'd say it changed how he uses his phone and its so much easier to use and its his 'new daily driver'. You can learn anything you want online right now. Our first simulations of the solar system and universe happened on super computers less powerful than your phone now, infact your phone likely beats all super computers up until the early 1990s.
