My old brother's didn't see it either since it happened so fast but i told them "something just passed by the window!!" and they thought I was just being an overly scared kid but I still remember that i told them that it "didn't look like the zombies" but that instead it kinda looked like carnage from Spider Man, they DEFINITELY didn't trust me after I said then until a few minutes later in the next room there it was lol it was scary at the time, but cool as fuck later after realizing how much more fun and interactive video gaming was starting to become in the 90s. This is the 1st video of Sphere Hunter's I've ever seen, and I really enjoyed it. I've been watching all the RE2 videos I can in between my multiple play throughs of the remake.

Operation Raccoon City's selling point was altering the timeline by killing Leon, They should've stuck with it. You can beat Birkin in the beginning in the sewers but the consequence is he mutates sooner rather than later. You can disable Nemesis before Jill meets him but she'll get bitten by Zombie Brad. Should've been a game of consequences.

The next time they remake the game it should have paper Mario aesthetics just for kicks.

Love love love this video, thanks for putting it all together. What I'd love to see in an another video are homages to RE2 that appear in the other games and in the CG movies. Here's some examples: Leon and Ada's continued pairing in RE4, RE6, and Damnation. Leon & Claire reunion and fighting the G Virus again in Degeneration, and the recurring RE2 tropes of Claire taking care of a little girl, and Leon being romantic with another female character. RE4 moment of Ada giving Leon rocket launcher like in RE2. Leon teaming up with grown up Sherry in RE6 and remaining parental to her. Ada looking out for Sherry and even saving her at one point in RE6. Overlapping narratives in RE6 derived from RE2 A/B Scenarios. And I'm sure many more RE2 moments & aspects in the games & CG movies.

I am still a BIG fan of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X...!!! The story with the villains Alfred and Alexia Ashford and the Ashford family was really great!!! Together with RE 4 and the remake of RE 1 Code Veronica X is my favourite RE game! Does anyone remember the music theme of the entrance hall of the police station in the original RE 2? That was an amazing and melancholic, scary piece of music!

10:43 Mister X was heavily inspired by the Terminator movies, specifically two which came out around the time RE2 was being made. If anything the version in Dark Side Chronicles is a more faithful recreation of the T-1000 falling into lava at the end of Terminator 2. But yeah I don't think huge lava rooms are real though.

Idk why, but I'm not a fan of her tank top, even the classic outfit got a tank top swap, the short-sleeved turtle neck looked better imo. Also her mouth looks kinda weird but w/e, camera's pointed at the back of her head most of the time anyway.

I want to take the time to thank you for your content and for doing this series, you know I didnt know how vast the RE community was until the RE2 Remake was revealed. My first RE was RE4 on gamecube, my brother had a friend how had the game, when my brother finally could buy he s own copy ( wii edition ) my father forbid me to play the game ( I was like 9 I think ), so with the help of an emulator of N64 I ran re2 ( scare the crap out of me ), and when I finally had the chance to play re4, I played with the RPD uniform. It was something that cant be put in words, facing salazar was like facing my fear. Things like that in our childhood its want makes this world fantastic. I hope RE2 Remake can make more memories.
