Part 2 of the MB testing video. We added some MB on the line, and more test. The same barricade but loading the buttstock, also comparing 223rem to 6cm to see if there is a difference.
Same bad English, same nice content!
1:35 - Presentation of the new brakes
2:58 - Spearhead Gen1 vs Gen2 vs Gen3 results
3:31 - MPA OG result
4:31 - MPA prototype
5:32 - Conclusion 1 - Muzzle brake VS compensator
7:32 - Conclusion 2 - Size case effect on MB
9:48 - Conclusion 3 - Muzzle jumping down
Thank you all, please leave a comment on what you would like to see next, it's really appreciated.

Youve done a good job. I would like to see the TERMINATOR T5 and the Warrior 35 Beast Tuner Muzzle Brake. These reduce Recoil much more and are veery popular. Keep up the testing.You do a great & fair job. Totally Unbiased. many Thanks

Looking forward to more videos on this subject. Curious how the JP Recoil Eliminator ranks. Also curious about your muzzle brake's shift in zero vs bare muzzle. If there's a big change then I'd think that would mean the muzzle brake is creating a lot of flex in the barrel as the gasses escape.
@canadianprecisionshooting9597
@canadianprecisionshooting9597 11 ай бұрын
My guess is the gasses are escaping after the bullet leave the barrel, and so probably not a big zero change. But easy to try/test in a next video!

Do you think you could show each break off a barricade both loaded and free recoil through the scope cam?
@canadianprecisionshooting9597
@canadianprecisionshooting9597 6 ай бұрын
I have all the footage for that, but it's a 2min+ for every brake so would make the video too long. But I'm thinking about making couple "quick" videos of less then 5min that would present each brake more in dept (characteristics, each video, etc.)

I am still confused with results, maybe you can help me decipher. How did the ACE do with 6.5CM, shooting prone with pressure applied? I am looking for a muzzle brake-compensator, that will minimize muzzle jump, stay in target as much as possible of couse, and that reduces muzzle concussion. Merci d’avance
@canadianprecisionshooting9597
@canadianprecisionshooting9597 4 ай бұрын
The ACE is more of a comp, working well to stay on target while positionnal shooting. It is not design to be optimal shooting prone. You should look at the third video, uploading this week, that will go deeper in performance per concussion

Merci!

Ca dépend de beaucoup de facteurs. Tir tu uniquement couché? Combien de balle par séance de tir? Et chasse tu avec des bouchons/coquilles?

What is the concussion like at the shooter with the MPA DN5?
@canadianprecisionshooting9597

better then the Fat Bastard and TMB, worst then the ACE and ATS, if it can help. On my third video (uploading this week), I'll have blast angle AND concussion felt to the shooter (a personnal scale) trying to compare them differently.

I will admit that I don’t understand why one break can do well if it’s freely allowed to recoil and a completely different brake does well when there’s some resistance that seems like the one that did well on free recoil should be right up there with the one that does the best when there’s some resistance
@canadianprecisionshooting9597

It is a really intuitive way and it's also what I was expecting before the test. As I said in the video, after talking with different makers, some of them make a difference between a real muzzle brake that aim at reducing recoil, and a compensator that aim at keeping the barrel level. Where the brake goal is to push as much force behind to reduce/move the total amount of energy in the momentum and so can push gazes with different angle and move the muzzle (rise or sideway) to reduce the force at the buttstock overall, the comp on his side try to move gazes around aiming at keeping the muzzle straight, no matter how much the buttstock will move backward in the process. And so, different port configuration bring different movement, not only in term of recoil, but also in term of muzzle movement that will have different behavior having resistant behind. Where the free recoil testing help seeing the comp performance, a loaded test will have more impact on the recoil reduction side. It is my understanding

@@canadianprecisionshooting9597 hopefully this isnt too late, but I also just got a 6.5 CM and Im wondering what your recommended brake would be. My purpose is just precision shooting from a bench or a mat, and I would like to have reduced concussion from the brake if possible (suppressors are illegal where I live sadly).

I hope that you understand I cannot try the thousands of MB that exist. It's stated at the beginning of the video that I and trying the must used according to PRS officials information, and other brand that reach out to me for testing. I'll reach to them to see if they want to be part of the third testing video, but again, I cannot try them all.
