The rerelease of WWF Steel Cage Challenge had Hulk Hogan and The Mountie removed. But they were replaced with The Ultimate Warrior and Razor Ramon.

I vaguely remember MVP was going to be in WWE 12, but got cut because he was released. There was a photo floating around years ago of his loading screen that has his personal logo, his signature and what I'm assuming would've been his render if he made the cut. I also think Matt Hardy was supposed to be in SVR 06, but got cut because of his release. They have a revamped entrance of his as one of the generic superstar entrances (I think) and his moveset is one of the preset ones.

The Hurricane not being in SvR 11 is the saddest in my eyes His model is in the game and he’s in the story creator but we can’t actually play as him :(

The original Smackdown vs Raw roster was pretty small, so surprised they cut so many. La Resistance, Maven, Rodney Mack, Spike Dudley, Billy Kidman, Billy Gunn, Gail Kim, Lance Storm.

I don't understand why they talked about Owen Hart with Wrestlemania 2000. He died before WWF Attitude was released. There was even a dedication screen for him in the game.

Steven Richards replacing Big Show in No Mercy was scandalous, he replaced him in the Championship mode too meaning he's constantly fighting for the WWF Championship and in major storylines.. The least they could've done is give someone else in the game Big Show's part lol

Here's a good one: They started work on Nunzio for SvR07, but then for whatever reason just slapped Vito's head on the Nunzio body and called it Vito. He's even still got Nunzio's entrance with the hand slapping gesture, and is listed as a Cruiserweight despite the real Vito being around 6'2" and 240lbs.

I was always curious, why in Svr 2011, so many people were missing. Because in the "Road To Wrestlemania" Mode... On the Match Card... Names like Carlito, Dreamer, Khali and even Chris Masters were written down on it. It was confusing for me as a child, why they weren't playable or even in the Game

If u think about it, Most of the Wrestlers that was in SVR 07 wasn't in SVR 08, and then returned in SVR 09... SVR 08 (Which based on 2007) had alot of missing Wrestlers, that was around that time... Such as Deuce N Domino, London & Kendrick, Cade & Murrdoch, Eugene, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Super Crazy, Chuck Pulambo, Joey, Mercury (Even tho he was released on March 2007, RVD (Even tho he was released later that year) Now Big Show was in a Hiatus in 2007, and Chris Jericho returned on Nov 07 after the game was released, but SVR 08 Roster was a Disappoint smh

You could also make Hulk Hogan pretty much 100% in No Mercy, even though he wasn't on the roster.

I would have loved to have seen Marty Jannetty in a WWE game. A few years ago Shawn Michaels was available with his Rockers outfit, but still no Jannetty.

I heard Mark Henry and Mick Foley along with some other people were intended to be in WWE 2K19 but for whatever contractual reason (s) were left out. This was particularly odd as these characters have been mainstays in WWE games since the 90’s/early 2000’s and are pretty much a given to appear in the games.

Not sure if they still do this or not, but I always liked how they used to include several wrestlers in the form of create a wrestler parts. This was usually done for wrestlers who had left the company just a year or two prior to the game being released. It was always fun to see which wrestlers they threw in the CaW mode. But I haven't played any WWE game since Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 because they're so terrible now. I wish they'd just return to the old gameplay from Here Comes the Pain. They have a lot of weird, sort of mini-game like stuff in matches now that are annoying, totally unnecessary, and interrupt the flow of the matches. I'm not against them adding new modes and ideas into the games, but they never should have screwed with the core gameplay.

Jeff Jarrett was supposed to be in WCW Nitro for PS1 as well. There are gameplay photos of several games on the back of the box that the PS1 came in, one of which is of WCW Nitro and Jeff Jarrett is in the photo despite not being in the game. I still have that box with the photo on it. Double J is the undisputed champ of being left out of games at the the 11th hour.
