It's fun to see my bookshelves fill up, but I don't want to think about how much I've spent on books since I started this channel 🫣💸 LOL And I do have a kindle, although I haven't used it as much as I thought I would...I like having the actual book for my shelves lol 😋 But I'm thinking about subscribing to Kindle unlimited so that I use it more.

@@poppycalliope I have the kindle paperwhite. I really like it, the battery last a really long time and it's really easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was a colored screen; everything is black and white...but that's a small aesthetic thing lol

@@jenseereads yea I don’t think it was life changing, but it felt like a Charlie’s angels movie but they are in their 50s lol it was cool to follow a story with something so action-y but with a group of people we would never see in movies lol

The first few were just Fantasy lol...the other bajillion and a half were fantasy romance though (I think 😋)

I'm right there with you LOL I was going to put myself on a book buying ban for July...but then I needed the next 2 books in the Ice Planet Barbarians series...and I had to preorder the next Elsie Silver book...oh and Barnes was having a sale 😂 And I totally get feeling at peace. I get overwhelmed with the amount I need to read, but it also make me insanely happy to look at all the pretty books on my bookshelves lol ☺️✨ Ahhh good luck with IT, that movie TERRIFIED me as a kid lol 😬 a super chunky horror is definitely intimidating. That's a lot of books! lol A library in the afterlife sounds perfect 📚👌🏻✨ Someone else mentioned the little romance in Mistborn, it's making the book feel a tiny bit less intimidating lol I love fantasy regardless of it having romance or not, but any amount of romance definitely helps me stay more involved. 💖

@@jenseereads it is, and sometimes I'm excited about all the books I get to read and sometimes I am overwhelmed. I was scared to read Misborn because I hadn't read any or much fantasy (still haven't tbh) and I didn't think it was that bad, or nothing too complex. Or if there was, just sort of skim over it and hope that the next bit clues me into what the previous bit meant. I've only read the first two, and though it's not a romantasy, I only remember the little bit of romance in it. and the other big spoiler part. but none of the other details.

@@Micmezle Totally agree! I love that I have lots of books to choose from, but then I also get overwhelmed 🙃And I do the same thing with fantasy books. I typically love the politics and world building, but if I don't get something I just keep going and hope it makes sense at some point LOL Ahhh you guys are making me feel a lot better about Mistborn. I've gotten a few comments of people saying it's not as intimidating as it seems, and now with the little romance in it I might be picking up sooner than I anticipated 😊

Are the blue and purple books the Lauren Asher ones? I was planning on reading the Fine Print series first. And oh no! 😅 hopefully I have a better time with The Husbands lol

I mean maybe The Husband is more of your vibe, and I liked the voice of the book, but I'm in a really "dark and kind of lonely time" in my life, and I thought I'd be ok with that subject, but the prospect of people "complaining about their husbands is something that just sets off an un known trigger for me. (that's not exactly what that's about) but if your sentsive to that sort of thing then that's just a small heads up about it. I got into chapter 4 and i felt the book wasn't for me at the time in my life. People have read it and "ate it up" but i'm not married and i don't like the "who am I?" trope in books....its a whole thing. Since the Fine Print came out first, you might have a better time. Her books do get better as the stories progress. I'm just a very slow reader and should have been done with Love Un Written by now, however I have to say (With out spoiling it) it's the best book i read all summer (So far)

I moved to a new state a few years ago and work from home, so I haven't made a single friend and it gets me down sometimes. And I can definitely relate to not wanting to read specific books, because of that. That's why I usually stay clear of general fiction/ slice of life books; they're too "real" and I prefer to stay in my little romance and fantasy bubble 😋📖✨ That's promising that Love Unwritten has been your favorite read of the summer so far! I have no doubt I'll like Lauren Asher's writing, because so many people love it, but I'm curious which series I'll like the best! ☺
