Mark Selby may not be the easiest on the eye to watch. But the most intelligent snooker player of all-time. His safety play is absolutely remarkable. If I played against him I would be physically & mentally drained afterwards. & probably feel like I have been in the toughest battle ever.

He *is* easy on the eye. It's just the time he sometimes takes to deliver it that's the issue. Great player nonetheless.

So few seem to acknowledge this; I think there’s an argument he is second only to Ronnie. His ability to read a table, particularly in tactical exchanges is no.1. I’ve never found him tiresome to watch, nor felt that he misused time. Ronnie will moan, but how many times have we seen Ronnie rush a shot and miss - it happens. Selby is a monster potter, a top break builder and as alluded to, possibly the best technician the game has ever seen. So many will harp on that Hendry was better - i dont think he comes close. He’s the most important player the game has ever seen, but Selby takes him with a session to spare 4 out of 5 matches, with both players in top form.

Whenever Ronnie has a great shot, someone in the crowd always yell “come on Ronnie!”. Thus, by definition, the crowds are never speechless when Ronnie play

Cause he snookered the opponent. The opponent has to pot the yellow now, so high chance of foul, and pink is blocking it.

Typical, people who know nothing about snooker critiquing player's games. Selby = Shameless. He will quite happily drag an opponent through the streets and take his time doing it. He can pot, has an excellent cueball, but his main strength is tying people in knots. Playing up and down the table, shaving the paint off reds and leaving the white in positions that forces his opponent to take on risky shots, eventually! It's rare Selby throws a knockout punch, there's a steady progressive build-up to the knockout, each shot needing the shot before it to have gone the way he intended it to. When he shows his ugliest side it's like watching his opponent being disolved in acid, very very weak acid, like diluted orange juice. Watch Selby for long enough without a break and you're going to go blind

Im guessing the one who up loaded this video is a selby fan, o'sullivan makes these kind of shots every day and makes them seem effortlessl, cracking player Selby but 7:11 boring, williams is a cracking player with much better shots also.
