Remember when we used to get a music pack and emote every year?

Chapter 5 is my first time playing Fortnite, so this is my first summer event. So far people are right, I been watching old videos of past summer events that look so much better than this one.

This is probably the worst summer event we have received.

I definitely blame the metaverse thing and rocket racing lego fortnite and festival for the lack of good seasonal events

You can't even call this a summer event

I played back in CH1 and quit right when S9 started so didn't experience 14 Days Of Summer then came back to the game in OG season almost 5 years later and this " summer event " is officially my first one, can't believe you guys used to get an emote + music pack every year.. but yea with how things are going watch Fortnitemares also not have an emote this year aswell

This year's summer event, if you can call it an event, is so bad that I was even discouraged from playing Fortnite, but there's a reason to hate this chapter 5, I miss the good times with Donald Mustard in the game.

They put all their eggs in pirates of carriberian.

I'm all for rewards but what about the fact that the island doesn't even look like a summer event is happening. Last year with the wilds there was one POI. Now this season absolutely nothing.

Cosmic summer had so many rewards and quests that it was so hard to keep track and figure out how to even get them. Honestly I think I only own half the stuff there

I'm going to be generous and count Metallica, Reload, the free summer quests, AND Pirates of the Carribean as the summer event(s). In which case, this is actually the best year ever. I can't deny that it's a stretch, though. I just think that this has generally been more eventful than usual, despite the summer cuts.

Epic is being extremely effort-less these days. 3 boring items i'll never use? Neither an emote? What about shops? Where is OG J Balvin? Is he not in the shop just because his emote (In Da Party) isn't updated to LEGO? Seriously, just for an emote? Is this a joke Epic? I spent 23$ just waiting for J Balvin to return and he doesen't... I have all the other 2 skins but not his main one. At least I can claim Zappy Go-Lucky...

This year is very bad. We don't get much, and we also don't get the dance either. I don't know why this means why so much, and I also don't get a teaser scene for summer. Creativity😭😩💔Only the replay mode is the best.

Don’t even get me started on last year’s winterfest. There was no cabin and I didn’t even get to claim my rewards because I didn’t know where the stupid rewards were! (Spoiler alert: they were in some stupid UI in our quest tab with no attention drawn to it and no work put into it either.)

I think they should they should add them to the shop but make them expensive like 1000 vbucks each item for being rare

season 9 had the best summer event & rewards, it's crazy how each year the event and rewards got worse, this summer event all we get are 3 rewards, a lame back bling and a lame reskinned glider

This depresses me... I wish I was around for a lot of these... especially the beach ball contrail, Sparkles music pack, 2021 ones I was playing but didn't know about the quests ... I would be all over them... I did catch Falling Stars in the item shop for the what 5 minutes it was there last time. So that's my Beach Blast...

Definitely a lot less cosmetics this year for the summer event that much is obvious, but I feel like they were focusing more on Metallica and Pirates of the Caribbean which is fine but I do feel like we definitely should’ve at least gotten the duck pickaxe.

The new summer is so dogshit. Just cause we're in a dessert doesn't mean we need a dry ass summer event. With no crew benefits either. Crew needs to be improved

My Collection: 14 Days of Summer (2019): Got every single item. Cosmic Summer (2021): Nothing, nada! No Sweat Summer (2022): Nothing, zero! Summer Escape (2023): Absolutely left dry. All Sweat Summer (Now): I'm not even going to attempt it. The reason I didn't get the other stuff is because I quit Fortnite after Ch: 2 S: 2.

I’m gonna say it but why are people not including the rewards from reload. The backbling and wrap are summer rewards and maybe contrail. So we really got 6 rewards, not 3

Yeah this season's event really sucks in comparison lol. I didn't play during the previous events, but man I'm a little jealous of how much you got in some of these events. I would have loved a new lobby/jam track to go with festival and maybe new tires or a boost centered around the summer. Hell even some lego builds would have made it better. I like the glider we're getting, but it's just a reskin of another glider, and the other rewards are fine but nothing crazy. Regardless, 3 items only is insane when compared to other years, hell even the last winterfest had tons more, and most say it was the worst fortnite's had. Really hope this Pirate of the Caribbean collab comes in clutch, because this is incredibly disappointing.

To be fair, if is not a good emote, skin, back bling or pickaxe; the rest is garbage. I don’t know why emojis and sprays are still a thing.

You can really see the decline in effort put into these though the years. Very sad for new players to the game.

Don't the Nana Bath back bling and the Pool Cubes Wrap Reload rewards count and maybe the other 2 Reload rewards count even though the contrail and Umbrella aren't Summer themed
