Chaos Kass being in the #3 and #2 ranked seasons is so cool. She’s one of my professors this semester, and she is teaching a class about survivor and reality tv in general. It’s been fun so far!

I absolutely loved san juan del sur it can be boring in the first half but going from 2 goliaths battling eachother to a kill bill type story was so good, also getting rid of Redemption Island was a massive boost for me

We really need a Second Chance 2. I also think they could bring the Ghost Island concept back for it with better execution. The idea of a season focusing on characters with a chance for redemption also having a chance to redeem failed idols and advantages (and those being the ONLY idols and advantages) appeals to me. I also would play up the haunted nature of ghost island thematically, and have the season lean in a bit to the macabre.

It's crazy that Heroes vs. Villains remains the best season of all time after all this time. As a lifelong Survivor fan, I can say that HvV was pretty much regarded as the greatest of all time from right after it aired, and it hasn't shifted since. It deserves that spot: perhaps the most entertaining and richly rewarding season of reality TV there has ever been. I'm super glad Second Chance places at 3rd: it's so good and one of the most unique seasons of Survivor there's ever been, owing to its premise, location and how much it leans into that location (only for the better). It's perhaps the last season where the location took such center stage. It just does so much right, even if it hammers its central theme a tad too much at times. For the record, my Top 5: 1. Heroes vs. Villains 2. Second Chance 3. David vs. Goliath 4. Tocantins 5. Cagayan

When Thailand first aired, I thought I could get my wife to finally watch Survivor with me because she is from Thailand. She didn't make it through the premier. She thought the people were stupid. She kept asking me why they don't educate the cast on edible plants. "They are surrounded by food!".

I’m currently watching Survivor straight through, I’ve seen a bit of the seasons out of order like 16 and 20 (which I loved), but I’m definitely going to rewatch them when I get to them

World's apart is my wife's favorite season.... it is top 10 for me. It really does depend on if you like one player or not and how much you enjoy rooting AGAINST other players. I honestly think a lot of the villains that season make for good TV.

Bro, San Juan del sur is literally in my top 5. I can’t understand how people don’t love it. Blood vs water is my favorite twist, I think almost every character is interesting and fun to watch. The post merge is crazy entertaining and it has one of my favorite winning games of all time

I've watched season 33 on Netflix with a VPN and it made me think of the challenge, so now I wanna binge all other seasons 😅

I definitely think 43 is going to age very well and just move higher and higher on the ranking. Gabler is such an underrated winner, and there were so many iconic moments throughout the season. Gabler's minute-by-minute dedications, Noelle's amazing comeback, Karla telling Cassidy how she'll make sure she loses, Owen and Karla beating an individual immunity challenge, AlliGabler's anti-Ellie plan, Sammi being secretly 19, Jesse idoling out Cody with his own idol and using another secret idol the next tribal, and so many more! It's definitely a season that holds up to re-watches and I can't wait to see it move up this list.

Great list, as expected. Glad Gabon is climbing on the list. 42 should be lower and 43 and White collar v blue collar v no collar should be higher but overall I agree with the list. Also, it’s nice of you to include the Bible verse at the end, you don’t see enough of that on YT

Thanks for putting this together! It's cool to see. Too low in my opinion: 41 (too many complicating twists and not great editing, but it has way better characters than a lot of seasons ranked higher) and Vanuatu (easily in my top 15). Ranked too high: Cagayan (it's good, but I prefer Second Chance and Pearl Islands) and Kaoh Rong (the villains storyline is just too mean-spirited for my taste).

So glad second chance got the recognition it deserved. To be honest, it’s my favorite season. Also I think the reason HvV remains so popular is because it was a great balance of game and storytelling. All of the relationships and pre season story telling made it what it was. Also, the idol plays by Russel and Parvati are normal now, but people remember them as the first of their kind which is why they’re talked about so much. My top 5 is: 1. Cambodia 2. HvV 3. Cagayan 4. WaW 5. David vs Goliath

I love that the fans have spoken and the fact that San Juan Del Sur and Game Changers(seasons that are routinely crapped on on this channel, but are awesome), ranked higher than a lot of other seasons that are pushed due to personal bias on this channel.( Looking at you EoE)

Edge of Extinction is awesome and I will always stand by the fact that it is super underrated

I agree with everything said about Edge of Extinction in this video. While the winner is underwhelming in my opinion, the cast is one of my favorites and the personalities of the cast mixed with the intensity of the Edge, make this a fun one to watch. Not only is it an amazing first watch, but I personally have watched it at least three times and never find it boring. The more you watch it, the more you learn about the cast and suddenly people who were "not as exciting" the first time, become incredibly interesting.

The Amazon (the oldest season I’ve watched, some great gameplay, and some iconic characters and moments) I’ve only seen four seasons prior to season 33, but I’ve liked all of them

I had no idea the twist on HvHvH was disliked, I loooooove that twist, it fixed a gaping issue with survivor in an awesome way, plus it mean the only likeable player got to win, it was awesome

The ranking plays out as expected in a good way, although GABON was super high. I thought people hated that one, or is it just Jeff that hates it? I just rewatched Thailand and really enjoyed it up to the "merge" and also the finale. Post merge was pretty boring once we lost the fan favourite. Wasn't expecting PANAMA to be so high either but I LOVE THAT SEASON. So rewatchable! There's a lot of entertainment value in the "train wreck" seasons: Panama, Gabon, Nicaragua.

I enjoy San Juan Del Sur more than the first Blood vs. Water because I felt that the gameplay and storytelling were more organic, probably because there was no Redemption Island to take away time from the players still in the game or make the ongoing story arcs confusing. The SJDS cast was also more sympathetic to me because we got to know all the players at the same time, and their relationships with their loved ones were part of their characters being portrayed. For some people, half the BvW cast being returnees is a strength, but for me it meant that I cared for the loved one half of the cast much less than the returnees, (especially Tina over Katie and Tyson over Rachel), and some aspects of the storytelling made the loved ones aspect feel hasty and disconnected from the returnees aspect, like it was just being tacked on to the returnees' characters which had already been established over the previous seasons. SJDS is just very fun too, some really excellent emotional storytelling, idol plays and blindsides, as well as the rise and fall of several great characters, the winner was also brilliant.

Island of the idols is honestly a underrated season if you don’t include dan. Rob and Sandra coming back as mentors was a good idea, it had a good pre-merge, and Tommy is such an underrated winner

the worst thing i did when i started to get into survivor is that i watched season 40 very early on. i didnt have paramount at the time and only hulu so i watched all the season on hulu including winners at war. dont get me wrong its really good but it ruined alot of seasons for me. i am now rewatching it from season 1 and i am on season ten. i definitely reccomend watching it from the very start bcz you can see how survivor grows. its really good if you are in to dramatic reality tv.

Gabon was epic for all the wrong reasons. LOVE IT! 😂

I understand we all have our own opinions and this was a collective decision, but here are the Biggest things I disagree with: 1. H vs. V is the most overrated season of survivor. It’s good, but once you get to the merge it’s so boring and predictable. I put it in the top 15 maybe top 10, but definitely not the best. 2. Gabon is ranked way to high and is in my top five least favorite seasons along with Island of the idols, redemption island, one world, and Nicaragua. 3. H vs. H vs. H is in my top 15 at least as I love the characters and once you get to the merge it’s so exciting 4. David Vs. Goliath is my favorite season of all time

Cambodia at 3 is wild as fuck

Game Changers being so high is honestly very surprising to me. being 30/44 is still not good, but it being above hhh, worlds apart, and some others is crazy for what is my overall least favorite season. I think Game Changers exemplifies all of what was wrong with survivor during this era of survivor, with the Varner situation being a stain on what was already a bad season in my opinion. It clearly was over reliant on twists and advantages, leading to the Cirie 'vote' that lead to my favorite player of all time being eliminated because of production rather than voting.

Australian survivor might have had some of the best seasons of survivor too. Amazing seasons if people haven't seen them

So shocked island of the idols isn’t last.. I seriously didn’t want to watch it, it was that bad. Thailand possibly got more negative votes than it deserved due to the actions of the eventual winner... Also Cook Islands ftw 🙌
