If you read the next book, after Lestat recovers, he meets a group of hippie musicians and becomes their manager.

From what I remember, the musicians were more like eighties new wave rockers than "hippies". He also became their lead singer and renamed the band The Vampire Lestat instead of becoming their manager.

@@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzyThe funny thing is, this movie is based on a book. The part where Lestat says: "pay no attention, your body is dying" - in the book, it's: "yeah yeah, do you have oil for your lamps, I need light to read!"

I don’t think Claudia grew a conscience, I also don’t think she was unaware that she was a vampire - she just didn’t understand how horrible it was going to be at first. After 30 years still looking like an elementary school student, she got pissed off - she wanted revenge on Lester, she didn’t feel bad.

"He's always running with a house burning down..." 😂 That's Louis for you I love this movie so much. Even aside from the story which is based on a fantastic book, I think it's one of the most beautiful and atmospheric historical movies to date. And star performances from all the actors involved.
@pfcblint31713 ай бұрын
Claudia didn't actually gain a conscience about killing. She was mad that they had changed her into a vampire at such a young age meaning she could never get older and mature in body. She was angry about it, understandably so. As others pointed out, it's against the vampires' laws to make a vampire so young, but Lestat did it to hold onto Louis' companionship by force of guilt. Louis also was giving the interview to make people aware of vampires and as a kind of therapy session and to tell someone outside of the vampire community so he could be treated like the monster he felt that he was. so, with Lestat, what choice would you pick?

The scene where Loui killed the theather vampires was only possible because Loui wakes before those vampires. The stronger the vampire the less they need to sleep. Loui was young but Lestat Blood was very potent. Its blood was so strong that even a young vampire like loui was still stronger than any of those vampires (except of course Armand). So loui took advance of his early wakening and killed them all while they slept.

Love your channel, another great reaction! As you asked in the reaction, back in the day the enslaved people had their own living areas separate from the main house where the owners lived, so the slaves in the movie still had a place to live. You're right though, Louis could have just left them the house instead of burning it down! They didnt really establish it in the movie too well but Louis actually had a good relationship with the enslaved people that his family owned, they weren't scared of him (until Lestat showed up).
@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzy3 ай бұрын
I was looking for the most entertaining thing to say. I know slaves had lil huts they slept in. but if there's no slave owner there, I don't think they would be allowed to take over that land. they would have been sold to another owner. And if that fire spreads their huts would be destroyed and they would be blamed. so, I just decided to go the neutral route. hey thanks for all your support.

@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzy3 ай бұрын
thank you. yeah, there were a lot of weird cringe sexual innuendo.
@heather98573 ай бұрын
I could see how it could be taken that way but since I read the books it wasn’t about sexual innuendos. It was about having a companion to walk the world with. Absolutely a deep relationship, but not a sexual/romantic relationship. I guess that’s why I never saw the cringe factor until people mentioned it. In the books Lestât had more of an erotic relationship licking blood off the floor everywhere he ran into it, lol.😂
@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzy3 ай бұрын
I got that, but I do understand how actions could have been miss leading to some. and Louis and Armand had sexual innuendo. and Claudia did kiss Louis. but at the end of the interview Louis got mad because the reporter didn't get it. even Lastat wanted a companion (maybe got one at the end?). each one needed someone else. @@heather9857

Almost all vamp movies have overt sexual tones between men and women, but its accepted as a foregone conclusion. I don't think this film is the best adaptation of the novel, but I always find it interesting that the homosexual tones are seen as cringe.

Hey E, I loved this reaction! I read the books in high school, and I also saw the AMC series "Interview With The Vampire", which you might like. The character of Daniel, the journalist (I'm a journalist, as well) , reminds me of some of the writers that I work with. In fact, one of them wanted to find a real vampire in NYC, and interview him or her. I told her that looking for that kind of thing never ends well. You never know what you're going to find when you're seeking the dark. Thank you again for the reaction. Would you consider reacting to a series like "Stranger Things" or "Yellowjackets"?

Im a big fan of this book series and for me this movie was a bit of a letdown. Over the years it has grown on me though. In the book Claudia is a five year old, she was aged up for the movie for obvious reasons. Armand (played by Antonio Banderas) was 17 in the book. In these books the vampires are not really sexual beings but they are attracted to others regardless of gender. Glad you enjoyed it. Over the years, I’ve been able to separate the book from the movie and it’s been much more enjoyable.

Let me answer some of your questions. "Why people dont seem to note they are being bitten?" A: When a vampire bites you, you feels pleasure. You dont realize u have be bitten. "Why cant they make a agreement with humans to donate blood?" A: Young vampires like Loui need a lot of blood each night. Donations would not be enough. As the vampires grow older. They will need less and less blood. Vampires older than 1000 years, need just to sip some blood each night."

No problem in diving into some great vampire films, there r many. They r def some beautiful vamps. Kirsten Dunst the little grl vamp did a phenomenal job in this film, for such a young actress. Vampires have many powers like, hypnosis, shape-shifting, reading ur mind, manipulation, super strength, speed and of course immorality. This and "Queen of the Damned" with the beautiful Aaliyah r my favs. Also, if ur in to series shows I recommend "True Blood" whether u watch alone or react to. I would never want to live forever.
