think the coolest tna impact world championship win for me was aj styles when kurt angle was laying on the floor , sting looks at aj and decides to put aj styles over by getting out of the ring and letting aj styles winning the title without any interruptions , now that's an awesome way to put over someone that is gonna win their first world title

Jarrett's reigns really hurt the company. I remember when Raven and Rhino won the titles, I was genuinely intrigued by the product and couldn't wait to tune in. Then they just ended their reigns... So much talent: Styles, Killings, Rhino, Raven, Hardy, Brown, Christian, Joe, Daniels. They had so much to offer that could have made fans tune in. Instead, they went with one of the worst things about WCW in its last days: Jeff Jarrett as the top guy. Me: Can we have Ric Flair? a great list, and a refreshing trip back to the early days of TNA, though I do like the current product (I was totally gripped by the Tessa Blanchard storyline, though Rosemary is my favourite Impact wrestler nowadays) I used to be a big fan back around 2005-2006 but moving out of my parents house meant I lost access to their satellite TV and so I drifted away from their product, until I found it on Channel 5 mid to late last year, and became a fan again :)

Glad to see Lashley so high. He helped carry that company once AJ left.

I remember as a kid I at school i used to be Cena mark, people used to say no way, haven't you ever heard of Aj Styles and TNA? i used to think no way is anybody better than JOHN CENA , so i never bothered Learning or watching Aj styles and TNA until just after finishing primary school. And oh man TNA became my favourite show and Styles became my favourite wrestler straight away.

Glad to see TNA/ Impact get some attention and love. With WWE and AEW getting most of the attention people forget Impact has been putting good shows for quite a while now despite the odds.

This was a really great list. Definitely the best one you guys have made. I'm glad AJ didn't become just some other guy in WWE. He became one of their biggest stars so quickly.

- Kurt Angle is not a recognized IWGP World Champion: To make a long story short, Brock freakin' Lesnar was wrestling in New Japan while honing his MMA skills so, just like everyone else, New Japan board thought to make him a heel world champion. Unfortunately Brock's contract expired during this period (New Japan has a less strict policy on freelance wrestlers), the beast thought that they didn't offer him enough to renew but he kept the belt hostage (because he thought New Japan owed him some money for some reasons). Since japanese people are kinda suicidal but not to the point to go ask the belt back to Lesnar himself, New Japan brought back the old IWGP title (the one which looks like a crown) and canceled Brock's name from the record books (along with Hulk Hogan's). Sometime later Antonio Inoki the legend, decided to cease his relations with NJPW and to start his own federation, IGF (Inoki Genome Federation), since he needed a champion he recognized Lesnar's title and paid him an unspecified amount of money to wrestle (and drop the title to) Kurt Angle. That's when Angle began to parade around the impact zone with the IWGP championship. I don't remember exactly what happened to IGF but at some point NJPW's board persuaded Inoki to give the title back and they set up a unification match between the IGF champion with the unrecognized belt, Kurt Angle and New Japan's IWGP World Heavyweight champion, Shinsuke Nakamura (before he became weird, his gimmick was that he was a pupil of Kazushi Sakuraba). Nakamura won the match via submission, got the belt and the glory.

2016 is the most underrated year in IMPACT they were on a role and weren’t getting the credit they deserved

Rhino's reign was such a waste of potential. He got over hard at BFG, winning three matches in one night. Only for Jarrett to get the belt back immediately. Ugh. Raven's reign ended with a dud as well.

Funny how even Pentagon Jr., the guy at the absolute bottom of the barrel, still had at least one good thing about his reign to speak of: The eyeballs his win got on the product. None of the titles in WWE or WCW that Cultaholic has covered have that distinction about their bottom champion.

Honestly, what AJ Styles brought to TNA and wrestling during his run there was amazing and can't be overstated enough. That people called him "Mr.TNA" back in the day was beyond justified.

I saw RVD in Manchester during his TNA run. It didn't dawn on me that I'd seen him do exactly the same match on TV the week before until I was on the tram home, half an hour later. That's how good he still was.

As someone who got into wrestling because of TNA/Impact, this list intrigued me quite a bit, in a good way. I do like how you've included TNA's lineage of NWA World Heavyweight Champions in the list, and I really enjoyed this list. Keep up the good work!

When RVD beat AJ Styles for the world title, that's when I stopped watching Impact. Hogan was a terrible booker.

The sad parts about Tessa’s title reign is that she never got the chance to lose her title with honor and integrity. The virus fucked all that up, and even worse dudes got so sexist and jealous with her over that title belt, she barely got any respect at all. Not that her racism allegations helped, but the situation was really fucking messy, all around.

It takes serious talent to win the NWA, TNA, IWGP and WWE titles in a single lifetime. And if he ever went to ROH or AEW, I am sure he would have been champion there too. Styles is just that good. And well, so is Kurt Angle. Two of my favorite wrestlers ever.

One of the best wrestling shows I’ve ever been to - Slammiversary 2018. Met Abyss, Moose, Swann, Edwards, Johnny Impact, Cage, and had a full on 10 min convo with Matt Sydal. I really wish I actually cared about the Impact at the moment. Watching this made me remember they have done some crazy shit over the years that was actually worth remembering.

So, what exactly does R-Truth eat? The guy looks exactly the same for the past 30 years, and you have to say I'm jealous af.
