He’s so underrated & Under appreciated at this club! He’s improved a lot under Ten Hag. I wouldn’t trade him for any fullback! Best Defensive Full Back going!

Tbh he was always around this level. People just expected him to also have incredible offensive output as well. That's why I backed him 1.5 - 2 years ago when many United fans turned on him (mostly the ones who hated Ole and all of Ole's signings)

@@tombrady5587 True, TBH he is a system player who thrives in specific systems that suit him. AWB is a player who would fit seamlessly into Low to mid-block teams who prefer to counter-attack or Park the bus(Jose Tactics). He used to struggle a lot when United had the most possession. So it's always a mixed bag of choices whether to keep AWB or not.

@@ronin7883 Tbh I don't think he ever struggled at United. The only time fans turned on him was in 21/22 but that was because the team as a whole were poor, Rangnick preferred Dalot, and frankly some fans online looked to scapegoat the players Ole liked. You may remember that continued into the first few months after ETH joined when AWB didn't start a game, but when Dalot got injured and AWB got game time AWB impressed right away. Fans thought AWB "improved", but he just played the exact same way he always did. The only time I can genuinely tell you he struggled was against Villarreal in the Europa final. That was because Emery was very clever and pushed his team to mark United's left side, which basically left AWB 1v1 in possession and he struggled to do anything.

If it werent for him, we might hv actually lost the game. Theres no one in the squad that can handle the likes of doku. Doku was so threatening. Lucky we have our spider man to lock him down. Such underrated player. He really needs to stay in the team.

I've always said this always ever since he signed for the club. The lads great. Best 1on1 defender. For those saying he's not kyle Walker well kyle Walker hasn't pocketed mbappe but this lad has. His crosses aren't great but not all the great fullbacks in the history were. The way he wins the ball. Best english defender out there. Best singing ole gunnar made in a long time.
