Ju Jutsu one is incorrect, real Ju Jutsu isn't solely ground work infact it's actually taught that going to the ground is a worst case scenario. Ju Jutsu can be correctly defined as the Japanese method of close combat primarily used by the warrior class of the Samurai either unarmed or employing minor weapons, that can be used in defensive or offensive ways, to subdue one or more unarmed or armed aggressors as effectively as possible. Ju Jutsu incorporates methods of throwing and takedowns, body weapons, vital striking, pressure points, bodily grips, holds and pins, joint locking of all limbs, strangles and chokes, and also ground control. There is also the study of anatomy and physiology where the practitioner learns all the human systems and health treatments. And in most real Ju Jutsu Ryuha they also study Bu Jutsu or the Bugei Juhappan, which primarily consists of Ken Jutsu, batto or Iai Jutsu, Kyu Jutsu, Ba Jutsu, Tanto Jutsu, Hojo Jutsu, So Jutsu, Suiei Jutsu, Nin Jutsu, Jo Jutsu, hanbo Jutsu and many more. Some Ryuha have advanced study of arts such as Saimin Jutsu. Also the correct etymology is Ju Jutsu not Jiu Jitsu, Ju Jitsu or Jiu Jutsu, the problem with spellings is a result of when the Japanese language was first being translated and converted into Romaji. Most modern schools of Ju Jutsu aren't actual Ju Jutsu instead most of them are a hybrid of Karate, Judo, Aikido, Taekwondo or other martial arts or ways but primarily consist of a striking then grappling art or way. Upon observation you'll be able to quite quickly determine if it's real or not because real Ju Jutsu is taught with not specific movements but instead principles and the training is hard, some older Ryu specifically in Japan train in soley kata.

@@Number13MusicBrazilian Ju jutsu is just Newaza in/from Judo. BJJ only focused and expanded on Newaza and was branded as Brazilian Ju Jutsu/BJJ but it's only a component of many, of the art. Just like Judo/Kano Jiu-jitsu is a component of the art.

For those who will read this comment wondering what it's about, Silat is an umbrella term for hundreds of different styles across Southern Asia, but is most often used to refer to Pencak Silat, a martial art from Indonesia that incorporates striking and wrestling techniques as well ad joint locks, but most importantly, many, *many* bladed weapons. In fact, it is most well known for being the primary art for the use of the karambit, often considered the most deadly knife in the world. This is a brutal art, a brutality that is well reflected in Indonesian martial art movies such as The Raid and its sequel, both of which feature extremely violent Pencak Silat fights, some of which involve the karambit knife. If you're a fan of realistically violent movies, I urge you to watch these to get an idea of what Pencak Silat is all about

@@NaiveExplainer O I spent about 10 years training taekwondo then I did a little aikido and Krav Maga. Martial arts has always been a consistent part of my life. I got beat up a couple times and decided that a lot of what I learned actually made me worse at self defense. To this day I simply think the martial arts I mentioned above didn’t deliver what they promised. Then I started training and competing in Bjj, wrestling, kickboxing, and MMA. It blew my mind how effective techniques could be. I’ve been doing more promising martial arts for about 15 years now. I’ve been training and competing in bjj for 15 years consistently. I’m a brown belt in Jiu jitsu. There is obviously an argument about martial arts designed for self defense vs competition. My take on that is a lot of martial arts designed for competition are better for self defense than the ones designed for self defense. There are also more and more trained martial artists walking the streets everyday.

This is a very informative video, with a good script that only has a couple of easily forgivable mistakes, and I really appreciate that you included my two favourite lesser known arts Hapkido and Kali Eskrima. However, the way you read that script is very distracting. Pausing at awkward times in sentences or words, repeating yourself a few times, sighing or going "uhhh" into the mic, it all takes away from the brilliant simplicity of your script. I would encourage you to work on your voice-over skills, and especially to cut your recordings into several parts for each art (or even for each sentence if need be), and to make multiple takes of each part so you can listen them over later and pick the best ones to glue together. Another thing that would help with your videos' quality would be not to cut out so abruptly as soon as you've finished reading your script. You don't necessarily need a traditional youtube end credits sequence, but wrapping things up with at least a few words such as "this is the end of the video, thank you for watching" would go a long way for the audience's enjoyment Cx Also, the plural of ninja is ninja ^^
