@@psykotisyinc Absolutely! The term "assault rifle" comes from Adolf Hitler in WW2. Hitler came up with the term "Sturmgewehr" which is literally translated from German as "assault rifle". The term assault rifle is originally used to describe a weapon capable of the mobility needed to "assault" and clear out an enemy position, for example, a trench line.

I have to disagree on one point. Abraham Lincoln was not an abolitionist. He said that if he could preserve the Union and end slavery, or preserve the Union and keep slavery, he would do either.

Kentucky was his birth state, not his home state. He only lived in Kentucky for 7 years. He lived in Illinois for 31 years, it was the last place he lived before becoming President, and him and his family are buried there, so therefore Illinois is his home state.

I just wanted to comment that Lincoln was not an abolitionist in 1860 because prior to the outbreak of the civil war, he never questioned the legality or slavery where it already existed, as he believed that the federal government did not have the constitutional authority to end it. He initially took the gradualist approach, in that slavery was legal where it already existed, but it should not spread and be put on a road to extinction. When Lincoln was inaugurated president, the south didn’t wait to see what he’d do. They just assumed that he would be a threat to their interests. Even after the outbreak of the war, Lincoln gave priority to restoring the Union and even said that he would have an amendment passed to protect slavery where it already existed forever. It wasn’t until near the end of his life where Lincoln embraced the abolitionist cause, as he felt that he owed it to the African American veterans who fought and died for the Union.

Wasn’t that at a rally before he became president though? As far as I’m aware (I’m British so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) the reason last weekend qualifies him as a ‘President’ is that even after their Administration has left the White House, they are addressed as Mr. (or Mrs. ) President for life. Thank God that isn’t the case over here or else each of our last 5 PMs would be addressed as Mr. or Mrs. Prime Minister for life (sadly instead we are stuck with Lord Cameron, Lady May and one day 😬 Sir BJ…. but hopefully🤞🏻never Lady Truss) Sorry I went way off piste there.

Conservative then meant “not changing what didn’t need to be changed” (slavery) conservative now means conserving the constitution the way it was written, not changing it to “adapt to modern times”

Narration is an art that can hold an audience under a spell, taking listeners/viewers on an emotional journey through the highs and lows of the stories being told. Your speech was too fast, reminiscent of the high school kid who reads so fast he trips over his words because he wants his oral presentation over. Your inflection was atonal, no pauses, no separation between one president’s story and the next. Then the music! Why do so many people insist on putting music within the narration? It competes with the voice of the narrator. It would have been a good show. Hope you take the constructive criticism, make improvements and your show will be much better. Thank you!
