No it wasn't. It has no roof, so no protection against the sun, plus it lacks modern facilities. The 1994 WC Final should have been held at either the RFK Memorial stadium in Washington DC, or at the old Giants stadium in New Jersey. The Rose Bowl wasn't suited to football at all - being an old athletics stadium with seats not steeply raked like in a football stadium. Making it hard for people to see the action the further back they were sitting. It's why it wasn't selected for hosting matches at the 2026 WC. It didn't meet strict FIFA criteria. Plus having no HD LED screen made it impossible to host WC matches aswell - what with goal replays and VAR decisions.

@@otaviofrn_adv it's crazy that the passion is everything. in england we train our kids very early, but it's too structured and organised. we don't let the kids kick the ball higher than head height, zero contact, no heading, very little technical training. it's all fitness and 5 a side. and we have the kids using an adult ball. i think i have seen Brazilian kids using smaller balls for better technique and control. And you don't have the graphic signs " ´ " and " ~ " on your board. Considering this, your mistakes were the lack of another r in Garrincha and Rivelino (you put an "h" more) About Neymar, his game is right, his head is not. He has too many people bloodsucking on him and does nothing about it, even his father can be included. The 1974 (Munich), 1994 (Los Angeles), 2002 (Yokohama, which is close to Tokyo), 2010 (Johannesburg, which is close to Pretoria) and 2014 (Rio) WC finals weren't held in the capital cities. The 1950 match was when Rio was the capital of Brazil, and the 1982 final was held in Madrid, which is the capital of Spain.

FIFA cannot steal enough money, the politicians in England wouldn't open their legs to give massive discounts on taxes. Events like this, there is one rule: if there is a profit, it goes to the organizer (FIFA). If there are losses, the people in the country pay for them. England is way too developed as a country to host a World Cup
