Christopher Julius Rock II, (also known as Julius) was portrayed by Terry Crews. Julius is the caring, devoted, easygoing, levelheaded, but very worrywart, cowardly, frugal, stingy, and cheap father of a 46-year-old. Julius has two jobs a newspaper delivery man and a security guard. As a result of being extra worried, mostly overspending too much money, Julius' behavior becomes particularly inconsiderate of his family, frequently appearing ridiculous and angering his wife, Rochelle.

Throughout the series u see different times when he says he just can't afford things like when they go to buy a new TV and says how he would love to buy his family everything in the store but he can't.

It’s not that he was cheap. In Rochelle’s mind, Julius wouldn’t be cheap because that credit card is for them. He was upset with Chris’ Hispanic counterpart but only for a second.

It's tough out there, most high paying jobs require a degree or some sort of trade school/apprenticeship. Someone who has 3 kids isn't going to be able to afford college or dedicate the time to a lower paying apprenticeship.

plus she only thinks of the pros out of everything instead of considering both pros and cons, such as: sending chris to an all-white school ("good education and being safe"), getting a credit card (using it for "important shit" like name brands, and clothes), getting into a high privilege society ("wants her kids to be in the right social group and wants to rub whatever her kids has done in their faces"). The lists goes on and on about how dumb and inconsiderate she is about certain stuff

exactly mate, debit cards are better for your own conveniences, plus u dont have to worry about the huge ass interests. Rochelle is the only one that doesn't realize it and is the main reason why julius had to hide it, my sister and i were discussing this and we came to the biggest conclusion: People really are fucking clueless when it comes to credit cards. Meaning that because it's a credit card they either think that it's coming out of the bank account they own, or it's another server/account that gives them the money

Man when he already knew about his son, and Julius knew he should be there for his son no matter what, that scene was powerful because that’s how it really is in real world rn, fathers know how the African American community is and stealing things, Julius is right the only race u really see doing bad things and illegal stuff and Hispanic and African Americans. The Mexican culture and African American culture, which sucks because, as white Person u living a rich life and of course your kids will grow up with an abundant life and know right from wrong and obviously they will always live in rich and fancy neighborhoods and houses. Julius knows that it was his son he just didn’t want him to feel bad and Chris mentioned Greg u Alrwdy saw on Julius face that , he knows it’s Chris that has to snatch a chain and Chris didn’t want to put his dad in a situation where he also has to come and defend his own son, but that what u call a good father, u know how the neighborhood can be and with the kids as well in the ghetto.
