Mika is truly one of the best things that has happened to the family. I'm so proud to say she's my cousin, even though she's more like a little sister to me. love you Aunt Ashley.

It is PRECIOUS that she “speaks” so confidently and without any self-consciousness!! It speaks to how accepted, comfortable, and encouraged she feels in your home! She seems to free and happy to learn at her own pace without shame or feeling that she doesn’t measure up. What a WONDERFUL, paitent mother you are to ALL your children. You amaze me. Your family is THE most beautiful!!

Mike will develop to her best ability living in such a loving and nurturing family. She is very lucky to have your family including her brothers and sisters who plays and help her.

I was potty trained at. 7, due to having cerebral palsy and not knowing how to balance good. But now we are in my home where everything is handicapped accessible, easier to do.

Oh my goodness, I love hearing her try to express herself!!! She will gain so much in her expressive language and she’s obviously quite capable in her receptive. My son was non vocal till almost 4, and one day we was laying together on his bunk bed and I was telling him about those times in his life and he told me, he KNEW- he had a full memory and remembered being able to understand but not speak. She has such a beautiful spirit and I cannot wait to hear her language progress! God bless you and are praying for your family 🙏🏻

Goodness! She is so clearly intelligent, brave, eager, loving and full of joy. I love that you give her responsibilities like brushing her teeth and are encouraging her actions of independence. Seeing her smile at your praise when she accomplishes something is building such amazing confidence in her. She is following your lead and working hard to be her best.

What a little fire ball. She cracks me up, so eager and smiling at almost everything. Those eyes tell a great deal, she is one very happy, blessed little girl.

Mika is so smart, the speech part she is trying so hard on, she is already talking though, I heard her say several things in this video. Like when she was climbing up the slide ladder she stopped near the top and I heard her say “I think I got it”. I’d have to watch the vid again to remember the other things she said ( sorry I’m tired it’s 2am) but she’s definitely talking and knows what she means and is trying hard to speak clearly. I heard you darlin. It’s at 13:04. Then her brother was pushing her on the swing and he said get or kick Mum, and she said “yeah yeah yeah, haha”. When u were counting for hide and seek you said let’s go and she said “go,go!”

This is an example of how Myka Ella is so lucky to have a caring family like ye.She has her own room beautiful toys and cloths and any help she needs going forward her family is there for her always.Bless you all xx

Love how you really encourage the kids to help with the younger siblings & the house. This is so important. So many parents don't do this and it's such a huge mistake. Mika Ella seems to be having the same issues as one of my nieces. Her speech was the same as Mika Ella at 7, but even with the speech impairment you could tell that her brain was working. She was a smart girl. It wasn't until my niece was 10 that she started speaking clearly enough to be understood. Now as a 12 year old she's a chatter box. She's developmentally detailed, so she's working with tutors & therapists in refining her skills. She's a great kid.

Oh my goodness, I was transported abut 15 years to the past. We adopted our son(domestic foster to adopt)when he was 17 months old. He has a very sad birth story but we know God made him for us. We spent 5 years in the hospital or at home recoveering from lots of stuff. We he was physically physically able to we started all his therapies-PT,OT, Speech, developmental and feeding. In the summers we did therepy boots where we spent 8 hours every day with everyhting and added water therepy as well. Bless you and your sweet daughter, she is a fighter and it shows. God has great things in store for her!

Mika reminds me so much of the little girl of parents who stayed with us some years back. She had developmental delays but she also could not talk where you understood her. She would do the same hand motions as Mika when she talked and expression. With this child turned out she had a severe tongue tie that was keeping her from talking clearly. Did not help her developmental delays but did help people understand her a little more. I love your vlogs.
