Under Sarkosy, the nikab was banned... but the law was badly written, so it is not explicitly banned, but everithing covering the face in public is banned. So if you have a cold, you cannot waer a mask, kids cannot wear masks during carnival, if you are a fireman you cannot wear a gas mask... it is typical modern law that was scared of explicitly banning the nikab by fear of being called racist, while banning may thing that it was not supposed to ban. Also, police do not enforce this law anymore in France, as you can see more an more woman wearing them in cities.

@@brezzainvernale I am not angry with you but you may know that viruses are smaller than the smallest pore on your regular mask. And, wearing a mask outdoors is just silly as most viruses are deactivated UV light. I grew up in Asia so am used to sick people covering their faces to avoid blowing their runny noses, which is considered rude. Also, we were crushed against each other in crowded trains and subways. I just don’t want to deal with someone covering their face and mouth, then mumbling into their masks, and expect normal human interaction and connection.

If Britain didn’t have all that welfare and opportunities for immigrants who put nothing into the country they wouldn’t come in droves. Same as US. In a lot of towns they squeeze out the local population and it’s unsafe for citizens to travel in those areas. Absolutely needs to be gotten under control. I hate when people say "I don't care how other feel". We live in a society, with other people TOGETHER, not alone on a desert island. When I worked for Terre des Hommes Zurich, we tried a Niqab on to experience what those women experinece. It was a claustrophobic exprience. Why don't western countries make it a law that if immigrants coming in to their countries have to abide by the values in that country, the reason they give when applying for asylum it usually the the fact that they are fleeing Islamic extremists in the country that they came from and the first thing they do when accepted in as many asylum seekers isgo back to the values they were fleeing from in the first place, no person should be allowed to go around in disguise, I couldn't walk into a: bank, postoffice Court, airport or other institutions with my face covered, and I'm a citizen with ancestors going back to the stone age, its a crazy situation, wake up western society 🤫
