hi!! Ik sunscreen is meant to go last. I recently started doing this like a week before filming this bc my makeup was setting weird. I’ll stop now. For those saying that’s why my face is breaking out, my face has been breaking out since January 2022 and is from change of climate( ik this bc I just moved back to the climate I used to live in and my face just cleared AND I’m about to start my period🫠) and hormones. Also for those worried I also apply the Kate Summerville spray sunscreen throughout the day over my makeup. I am very well protected😂🫶🏻

I mean it shouldn’t break you out but it might mess up with the properties of the sunscreen and it might not work as well so it’s better to use it last.

I know 😭, my acne got really bad at 20, I'm almost 24 now and it has been a bumpy road. Sometimes it gets really exhausting cause, whenever I think I'm getting better I go back and break out again. And then someone blames it on something I'm doing or a product I'm using (like an acne product), because of course it must be your fault. And is just so frustrating, I feel like this is never going to end

Hi Kayli! I’ve had such a similar skin journey as yours. Had acne in my teens, it cleared for a year or two and once I hit 20, it came back more stubborn. I’ve been on spirloctone since February and it’s definitely a slow slow and steady process. Consistency is key (which I’m sure you know) and it’s going to be an extremely gradual improvement. I still get decently bad breakouts and I’ve been on it for 4 months. Basically, im saying not to get discouraged if you’re not seeing much improvement because it WILL get better. Love you! Happy to see you back!

Your eyelashes are so pretty. Also your brows and your skin color/complexion even with the acne. When I see other women with acne it doesn't really bother me and I don't think it takes away from their beauty, but when it happens to me it feels face-ruining for some reason. It helps to look at other people to keep perspective. Our own flaws seem more extreme than they do to other people, by far.

Hey frienddd, don’t start out with a sunscreen- they are usually really thick and your other products won’t be able to get in. The way to do skincare is lightest to heaviest :) so sunscreen is generally last on the list. Also don’t put on sunscreen at night , and before you go to bed make sure the sunscreen you put on in the day has been washed off w a cleanser because water is not enough to get it thoroughly off :) Hope this helps ❤️

I needed this more than anything right now. I recently moved in with my boyfriend who lives in a dry climate, to where I previously lived in TX - which is way more humid. I’m in my early 20s as well and have had acne since 5th grade. It’s always been pretty bad (inflammation sort of small break ups just all over my nose and cheeks). Though since moving I’ve experienced horrible dryness even under my eyes, which is so unusual for me considering I’ve always had oily skin. I’ve taken a break from makeup because I had also started Curology before moving and so I think using the formula along with being in a dry climate really irritated my skin so whenever I applied makeup it would just separate throughout the day. But I wanted to suggest that hard water can cause more irritation to the skin, so maybe getting a shower head filter would help calm the redness a bit. I was the same way though, “is it the detergent, sheets, hair products,” etc. Still have breakouts but I’ve only been washing my face with filtered water and applying cetaphil lotion right after which has helped with the dryness. Truly understand your stress, I feel like I’m in such a similar situation and so after my little rant, wanted to say I appreciate this video and the openness. 💚

When I moved across the country for college and experienced humidity for the first time, the same thing happened to me. I grew up in Seattle, always had relatively clear skin - then moved to Boston and BOOM my forehead was blanketed in acne. Your skin/oil production just has to recalibrate. I was prescribed a topical retinol which fortunately cleared me up within a couple weeks, but a climate-shifting move definitely has the capacity to fuck up your skin!

Thank you for sharing your journey! I feel the pain, my skin went really bad when I stopped the pill and also when i am super anxious and stressed out :( The La roche posay effaclar micro peeling cleansing gel was the only thing that got rid of my back acne. Hope this helps 🥰

I am 29 and got my acne outbreak just recently. I am devastated because I never had skin issues and never had to learn how to do makeup. Praying and hoping that your video will help me on this new journey. Also, you look stunning with or without makeup. Thank you for sharing and helping us in our mutual trouble.
