In the guitar’s defence, they were very old strings and well beyond needing a change. Looking online I’m not so sure what gauge strings to buy - I have no idea what mine currently are. I’ll figure it out :)

I got you fam. Tune your bass to drop B, play 0-0 on the lower B-string, and then a 8-9 chord on the higher B-string+E-string

I'm calm, now. Please. Do not cut them. Clean them, change them one at a time. Save the old ones. Boil them (on water). Dry them. Store them. Just one or two sets. They are emergency strings. Not to be used on live or studio. Just if it gets broken al 1 am.

I can play both muhaha but I did have a little bit trouble cause I learned the guitar first and then the bass, the bass made my hand stretch out even more. I can probably slap someone to sleep

Do you bend? If not playing chords and normal non extreme tension things won’t cause the string to break, unless its old af and it snaps when tuning
