Don't change a thing fella. I spent 25 years working on lorrys out of a van and then thought this is a struggle so spent the last 10 years sat in an office telling 12 mechanics what to do. Fuck me that was stressful and more of a struggle. It was like running a bloody nursery so now for the last 6 months I am back to working out of a van again. Chose caravans this time as getting too old for the big stuff, so what I am trying to say is you are only happy doing what you know, struggle or not. Chris.

My mate lost his finger in a food plant years ago and a few months before a lad lost two fingers in the same plant… the yarn goes that he took his finger off in the machine and the manager ran over after he heard his scream.. the manager said “Jesus, how did you do that”. So the lad replied back “well all I did was stick my hand in like this” the twat put his hand back in to show him and took another finger off. 😂😂 The one thing my mate did find handy about loosing his finger was how he could scare the crap of of people by putting what’s left up his nose! Jesus that was funny back in the day! 😂

Evening Chris…..I did my first full time job in a Woodyard / mill , took me 7 years but I nipped the end off me right index finger eventually…….lol. Me Dad started out as a saywer, on bloody big circular saws, he lost two fingers and a bit off his kneecap….when a blade came loose and went wandering at high speed across the shed……H&S would literally crap them selves with the stories from back in the day……….woop woop struggle on 👍🇮🇲💪

The filter on that crane you primed is the first filter from the tank. It then goes to the sediment screen filter/pre filter and primary filter that's on the engine. You'll see 2 filter caps on the left side of the engine towards the front. The pre filters block up. Also the filter the operator changed the seals can be dodgy in the water trap bowl at the bottom so check it's tight and not leaking or drawing in air. And a crane of that age is common for algi in the tank.

When I was steel erecting, I trapped all my fingers between two steel beams. Luckily I didn't lose any, but they all had varying degrees of damage. I left the Hospital with 6 bandaged fingers, and a couple of plasters. Not easy when the bathroom had to be visited.

If the crane is a Mercedes engine which it looks like it’ll have a main filter on the engine (insert filter) and there’s normally a little gauze one near the tank or next to the main filter head
