I have collected a lot of such scraps.
Today I’ll show you how I made a stand for toilet paper and a magazine holder in the bathroom. No professional carpenter skills required.
This thing will not take up much space, but will decorate the interior.
The tools required were: a saw, a hammer, nails and a drill with a large drill bit.
Stand size 60x25 cm.
The width of the board is 12 cm, the top one, a little wider for the shelf.
It took: 2 side parts, a bottom, a shelf and 6 slats.
Each part was sanded with sandpaper.
Everything comes together like a construction set. For the round rail on which the toilet paper will hang, I drilled holes with a large drill.
Assembly:
- I placed the sides on the edge and rested them against the wall so that it was level.
- I placed 3 slats on top and nailed them in place. I did the same on the reverse side.
- I nailed the top shelf.
- At the last moment I nailed the bottom because I forgot about it, it’s better to do this first.
- All that remains is to paint it with white paint.
- It turned out to be a nice stand that you can’t buy in a store.

Promotions in stores are good because some goods can be bought at a good discount. We are not interested in the marketing ploy, the main thing is to buy cheaper, especially if you know the usual cost of the product.
It is very profitable to purchase household chemicals, the shelf life is long and everything will come in handy sooner or later, nothing will go to waste. One “but” - you need to store it somewhere. This is especially true for toilet paper. Bulk rolls take up too much space.
To remove these supplies out of sight, you need to adapt a special place that will not take up space in this very place.
I never store paper open in the bathroom, as dust and condensation accumulate, a maximum of two opened rolls.
The ideal option is to hang the rolls vertically, for example, on a door in a closet or other secret corner.
I suggest you solve this problem with the help of a homemade vertical organizer. What should it be made of? A suitable material is transparent tulle, which you do not use.
- First you need to calculate the size, it depends on how many rolls the organizer is designed for. I will have a device for 10 rolls of paper.
- I cut the fabric into strips - two 11x52 (sides) cm, one 21x52 (front) cm, one 21x92 (back with lid) cm.
- I stitched together three parts, front and side. I finished them with finished bias tape, as well as the top edge.
- Next, I made a “window” in the corner by cutting the fabric. This is to make it easy to pull out the rolls. But it is not necessary to do this, you can take it from above, but I did everything for maximum convenience. I trimmed the edges with tape and attached a tie.
- On the back strip I turned the “lid” 15 cm and stitched it. I made a drawstring and inserted a stick there.
- Now I stitched the back part, retreating 15 cm (“lid”). I finished the seams with bias tape and attached a tie opposite the “window”.
- I sewed the handle for the hook by hand.
The result is a convenient thing for storage, 10 rolls are securely hidden, but at the same time everything is clearly visible and covered.
