For Everyone That Asked About Shinkenger 💚 Next Video Will be Another List!

Fun fact: Shinkenger was my introduction to Super Sentai. While Samuai had a sudden break in airing new episodes, I searched to see if other countries outside the US got access to them. Awkwardly enough that's how I saw episodes of Shikenger (around the time the clash between Jayden/Takeru and Deker/Juzo was near its end). Funnily enough, I thought Shinkenger was adapting from Power Rangers, so I'd look up "Japanese Power Rangers Wild Force" to see what would pop up. After doing more digging, I realized it was the other way around lol

Genta acting like a complete goofball is something that would surprisingly never get old. Even Antonio from Samurai, who is one of the few good parts of that show, is a very lovable character!

This season will always have a special place in my heart Not only does it have the nostalgic edge for being the first tokusatsu I ever watch as a kid But the character, suits, action and the music all make this such an amazing season ❤️

Idk if people really talked about this. The best thing that the PR counterpart did better than the Sentai series is making Juzo/Decker have relationship with another character particularly Dayu (as past lovers) to make his inclusion into the series as more concrete rather than introducing him as a random badass vagabond coming outta nowhere. Even the human alter ego costume really rocks too.

It's indeed quite interesting to note that up until Shinkenger's debut, we already got two dino themed sentais and two ninja themed sentais, but somehow NO samurai themed one. I remember shouting "FINALLY!" when they announced Shinkenger. As of for why, I'm not quite sure. Samurai would be one of the easiest concepts to adapt in SS because it's rich of Japan's history and culture.

There is nothing like Physical Media and with 5 more Sentai series to be released. I hope SHOUT! Factory will get to Shinkengers as it is thee Sentai Series of the 2K!!! No lies, the rest of the cast and characters are likable and relatable. That’s what makes Super Sentai a winner here. The best civilian dresser and outfit goes to Shinken Blue!!! I was matching inspiring his outfit! Thanks to Tukoz, I can stream them. I need to see this series again!!!

Shinkenger was my introduction to Super Sentai, and, basically to tokusatsu in general, and funny fact: it was just and only because I found the intro song cool, like: "Oh, this song is such a banger, let me see one or two episodes" and after episode 2 I was absolutely invested in the show, and even got a S.H. Figure of Shinken Red (pretty awesome, tho) Shinkenger is really really a banger, so cool see it getting some love And Fuwa Juzo is still my favorite rival-like villains ever

Only Shinkenred is a lord, the rest are his retainers. It’s why he’s the only one to say his full name in the roll call.

I haven't seen any of the original sentai shows before but I've of course expirenced most of their american adaptions in the power rangers brand. In america this show was called power rangers samurai, it was and probably still is my favorite power rangers show of them all. I love the costumes, the moster designs, and of course the zords themselves and the story and charcters are my absolute favortie from any power ranger media. Even though I imagine a lot of this is a little different in the original sentai release, I still love see people praise this show for both regions share, since surprisingly this iteration of power rangers was never really talked about that much

One of the sentai series that i watched from start to end. Really love this series. I was really surprise when i found out Genta actor played one of the most hated villain in kamen rider saber.

This is one of the most wonderful and creative series in Sentai history. The most memorable scene for me was when Takeru literally used his phone to write down a Kanji and create a freaking horse out of thin air.

Very detailed I would love to see more. It's always interesting to see the original sentai and learn about it. I was raised on mighty Morphin but seeing the original you really come to appreciate it. So yes i would watch every episode if you posted a series on the breakdown of each show.

Nice video I do liked you talked about Shinkenger today and couldn't wait to see more you talk about other sentai as well . As for Shinkenger , Like everyone else , I loved it . The story , characters , villains , everything were great and you could see why it one of best super sentai series for everyone .

Little bit information, Genta joining actually has big effect(its shown when Kaoru appear). Cause in the social value Genta just a merchant became suddenly samurai ia a big deal. As comparasion i think like this, imagine you just a street burger seller suddenly became high rank military officer.

I love Shinkenger because it was my gateway to Sentai and as well as all of the things you mentioned. Regarding Mako, my theory is that by her Dad telling her to quit, I have this theory that her parents actually didn’t want her to become Shinkenger because of what happened to her Mom. Her Dad mentioned her Mom was ill in the body and the mind. My guess is that she had PTSD and depression plus the injuries she sustained. But her grandmother managed to convince them otherwise. Unlike Mako and the others, Chiaki’s Dad didn’t want to force him. He wanted him to have a choice but also have a normal childhood. I love the crossover with Goseiger. Samurai...I was so looking forward to this. Especially, since Saban took it back from Disney. I loved Saban Era when it was on Fox Kids. The actors had martial arts background, dancing or gymnastics background. And Saban was not afraid to show ranger romance. So, when I watched Samurai. I was disappointed because they carbon copied the show but took the culture out of it. So Kevin’s proselytizing looked cringy. Not only that, they didn’t do much in regards to Mike and Mia’s backstory.

What I do find interesting is that, It feels like, Because this Tackles Japanese history and mythology The people Making the show take it a lot more seriously than they would other themes like the ones that came before, like Tigers and Cars. In Shinkenger, they show Murderers, Actual Alcohol, death and other themes, that you don't really see in other Modern shows being shown in such specific depth. That seems to be the case, Mainly when you look at Kamen Rider Den-O and Donbrothers, Who also talk about Japanese Mythology

The reason I love this show so much is because it leads you to believe it’s a sentai with a samurai theme when really it’s a modern day samurai drama that happens to be a super sentai.

Takeru calls upon his retainers Shows Genta who is technically a Ronin since he considered takeru his master as children then left on his own to train as a lone warrior

For any power rangers series to be successful obviously everyone is important but if the Red Ranger is poorly portrayed it’s a wrap. And that was not the case with shinkenger cause Takeru was one of the most GOATED red rangers of all time.

I'd love another similar video about a series like Kamen Rider Den-O I was introduced to Den-O through the Decade episodes... and it was not a proper intro. The actual show was much deeper and had philosophical subjects that I was absolutely not expecting out of a "kids special effects action show" like Zeronos' powers making people forgetting about him, and if everyone forgot about you, were you really ever alive to begin with? Throughout a bunch of slapstick and vaudeville level overacting, this show was a great lesson about self-confidence. I'd love to see how you deconstruct the themes and what historical or popular references that I missed were. (and after that KR Kiva... Sins of the father and all, in a kids show you know hahaha, but Kiva had a better parallel in Decade so I wasn't as surprised or impressed)

I almost didn't watch Shinkenger because of how corny PR Samurai. Shinkenger became one of my favorites.

My opinion on Samurai Sentai: Shinkenger, I'm much a Fanboy watching when I didn't realize. My other opinion on Power Rangers: Samurai, The footage is the same but I LOVE IT. I'll give Samurai Sentai: Shinkenger a 9 out of 10 and Power Rangers Samurai a 10 out of 10.

This was my first Sentai season. I had first watched Kamen Rider Decade and I saw the two parter episode with Decade and Shinkenger so it made me curious to actually check out a Sentai. Granted I did watch it without subtitles the first time and that was a bad decision but whatever I rewatched it with subtitles later and early in the year. When I watched the first time, I never saw the movies and that was because I was in unfamiliar territory but when I did my third rewatch I finally watched the movies except for the Vs movie with Go-onger I don’t care for that season and will not watch that season. Power Rangers is watchable that’s it though I applaud it for doing and trying different things like the mega mode and the shogun mode.

Do you think that Power Ranger Samurai did a disservice to Shinkenger? I want to ask since I'm starting to like the Japanese version 😅

Its an absolute disgrace that Power Rangers Samurai basically just copy pasted everything from this awesome Sentai, Story and Character personalities. Especially because this one is so much about japanese culture
