I have the impression that if it were possible, EA would remove all game modes and leave only Ultimate Team. As it is the only mode that receives relevant innovations, the rest of the game modes are left with the leftovers.

@chadmorrison1412 I only did the player career bc the new additions to the manager mode did not make sense. The passing i noticed was a lot slower, and i never tried the give and gos or touch passes. The touch passes never work or go in the direction you want them to, and the cpu never contiunes their runs.

I was playing around with FIFA 23 database to extract the FUT kits to use them in my create a club save and I found FIFA 18 files, just copied and pasted in career mode sections. They didn't even bothered to rename the folder. 😂 They had one new implementation in FIFA 22. What a shamless greedy bunch EA are.

EA's idea of making the matches more difficult is just having the AI press the shit out of you and never tire, which pretty much happens every time you go up a goal and the AI goes into "ultra attack" mode, and apparently their pace, stamina, and stand tackle all goes up to 99. Yet the game logic is so dumb they push all their men up the pitch and you can lob balls over them and score at will. Come on, EA, you can do better than that. Firstly, no team pushes that hard offensively after going down one goal in like the 10th minute of the game, and secondly it is so poorly executed. I've noticed also if they break you down and put in a couple of goals they turn into slugs after that and you can run circles around them. If only in real life you had an "ultra attack" button that made you virtually invincible 😂

Removing the pre-game immersion was key deal breaker for me. When I found out it was not a glitch I immediately requested a refund. I am a full time career mode player and realisim is a key factor. Extreme lack of detail and effort was enough to wait until EA is more serious

I saw this trend back in FIFA 2017, the Career and base game features were barely touched or improved. Which left me with sense of being flat out cheated out off 60 bucks and that's when started realizing that FIFA is all about Ultimate Team and microtransactions. I mean, the graphics have improved but I haven't played any FIFA game since 2017 and most of this is still familiar to me. That us outrageous imo.

around that time i remember when they release a new fifa, bugs from previous version were present. as i dig in then i realize EA just copy pasted the whole career mode. no new features, i literally buy the same copy of previous fifa. felt cheated and i left. never buy fifa again and thats how they treat their single player customer. lookin at this video and make me wonder things never change i guess.

Totally agree on what you said and I'm afraid we won't see any huge improvements anytime soon. FUT is why people buy the game these days and that has proven to be a goldmine for EA. Even though it's lowkey gambling. Hopefully gamers will realize that voting with your wallet helps and that EA is one of the worst money grabbers in the industry. As for me, Football Manager covers my career mode needs and the changes coming in FM25 are very exciting.

I don't know if someone paying attention to it, but another problem that goes through every fifa game since 18 part, is when you try to change player lookout in your manager career, the game just turns sleeves from head to toe: in summer and sunny days players wearing long sleeves, in winter, rain and snow short ones. Sometimes ai player just becomes invisible and its really difficult to play against him, usually CM player. Also i won fa cup game on penalties but game recored it as loss 10:6 and ai QPR advanced further. I wish those were only problems but there are much more...

One thing that annoys me is when i manage a lower league team and players get called up for international duty but the league still goes on, this game will not let me change the players that are on international duty in the team management menu prior to kick off. I have to change the team in the squad menu and save it. Frustrates me when i have new call ups and have to do a new preset.

I encountered my first bug within my first hour of manager career mode, I got my first ref cam where the ref gave a red card where in reality the player only got a yellow card, which makes me think they only did specific animations for certain cards

12:40 i thought I was the only one that hated this stupid change because not only can you not see the lineup but it’s shows you stuff that happens in the game before you even play it. I played the UCL final and it shows a clip of my guy scoring the winner before the game started. Another thing I hate is that players leave their club in the first season in every save, in what world is arsenal selling Saliba, Partey, saka,Jesus, zinchenko and smith-rowe in the same window then get replaced by berardi, gaya, Felix, goncalvez and David Garcia

Even in the switch version there are so many glitches manager career mode cut scenes are so laggy, there are also a scene if you decide to negotiate end the cutscene lag and you will be forced to turn off the console or closed the software, hat trick ball is invisible, there is a time player became invisible.

I wondered why I couldn't filter expiring contracts on FC and I found out that there's a bug where pre-contracted players will join your team in January. So instead of fixing the problem they tried to make it harder to do. It still happened to me in Season 3.

In player career you can get stuck at the end of a season and unable to proceed. The button to resign to your team or transfer to a new club can be missing

The question you keeping asking is why is this missing? Why has this been removed? Why do they add this to other games apart from career mode? The answer is there trying to kill career mode so you play FUT and they can rinse you for more money. They will remove it one year and justify it as there doing it to improve other games modes. If they could monetise it, you would see a different story completely.

They don't care about career mode players they only care about the money making ULTIMATE TEAM! and even that is s**t. They've put minimal effort into any other game mode and have done since Ultimate team came about. They like most big game companies now adays rely on modders to save the game for other games. So until you all stop rushing to buy it and letting modders bail them out they won't learn. I haven't brought fifa since 21 and I'm glad I haven't. Don't buy it then complain when it's s**t!

I still felt a sense of pride when you took a team from nowhere to the champions league and that first walk out...Very sad and with eFootball not having a master league it's clear the model of football games is online packs bollocks. I'm hoping a third game steps into the fold to give us what we want and used to have...

There’s a serious glitch with my career. If your player plays for a giant like Barca, Madrid, city, PSG etc you score over 100 goals and win everything and even achieve the objective for your wage demand you are forced to move to a new club you can’t even renew even doing everything possible to earn a new contract the game forces you to move.

It's now 50eu on ps store until the 8th. I probably gonne buy it (no alternative) and use realistic sliders. But are keepers better now? Because last year a keeper with 90 was not better than a keeper with like 55 allround. Exept in Sim matches it did something.. So is career mode good? I play all the matches. Probably will start in Serie A with AC Milan or in Germany with a decent team like Hoffenheim/M.Gladbach.

There are multiple press conference glitches. You get asked if you can recover your poor form in the league while on a 27 game win streak at the top of the table. After crushing a team they ask you if you could have done anything to salvage the match lmao

I played it for 11 hours. Found so much stuff wrong with it and refunded it. 11 Hours. That's less than 2 working days. You telling me they couldn't pay 2 days wages to a QA tester to just play? FIFA 23 will be what I am playing for the next year at least. FC24 can go to hell and hit every rock on the way down.

nah fifa always had these repeated transfers like for example i always got either correa or immobile to united in fifa 23 also they seem to disregard rivalries when it comes to transfers, ive seen man united sell some of their best players to city and liverpool and in my real madrid 23 cm barca asked to buy benzema i doubt theres a simple way to stop this and its somewhat interesting but its also really weird seeing rashford play for liverpool, richarlison play for chelsea, and martinelli for spurs in the same cm save

Great video. A lot of great points. I’ve been a fifa player since 2005 and I am pretty much exclusive career mode player. This game is so broken. I keep getting sacked even though I might finish second after fallling short on the last game of the season to win the title and wining a cup? (Arsenal career). The scrolling in the top corner is always broken. The game as a whole is so lazy, the trophy’s/ achievements are more or less (bar like 5) year in year out for the last 3 or 4 fifas. No other game is this lazy. It’s poor.

i don't think all of these bugs will be fixed. nor do i think fc 25 will be any better. Only reasons i've bought fifa the past couple of years is on sale due to play with friends, for myself i just keep playing PES 19 as that just feels like a better football game in terms of gameplay(obviously that has it's glitches and flaws in the career mode) but it is very much enjoyable., which i can't say fifa/ea fc probably is when playing alone anymore.

Looks like the latest patch has fixed a lot of these issues but I love how when one of my players scores a hat-trick he leaves the ball with the ref and walks away holding an invisible football.

The socks part and Gareth Bale in Golf cracked me up, as coming back to fifa/fc after 7y many bugs and lack of features flew right by me, but even I noticed hoe dull career mode feels. What annoys me the most is the redundancy in Journalist questions, it's not dynamic at all. Also somehow my team no matter how weak it's considered in a specific league, my players and The press are worried about our performance if we lose a Single game despite doing well in our First season as a promoted team for example.

When I started a player career at Forest Green in the 2nd division and I get a message from my agent saying: My aim should be to get picked for the national team and I'm on the manager's radar, despite the fact I'm in the f*c*ing 2nd division and have not played a single match. Basically, the exact same message you get at the start of your career in every Fifa I've played for the last 10 years. That was the moment where I was like, Yeah they have added absolutely nothing new here. Same shit different year again. Thieves.

Idk if this is happening to other people but I manage both Man U and England so I have rashford on both but when we are on international break rashford dosent gain stamina back over days , he stays exhausted. Also it can just happen with players on your team like I just signed mbappe and he’s not gaining back stamina. Broken game

there's a small feature they removed that has really pissed me off.......ankle tapes are gone, one tiny thing that brought creativity to my players kit/boots is removed for absolutely no reason......white tape has always looked amazing with Liverpool socks and home kit but nope can't do that anymore

This is exactly why I switched to Football Manager about 5 years ago full time for career modes. Don’t even touch it on EA FC/FIFA anymore. It’s sad because FIFA career modes in the PS2 days is what got me into football.

Thank you for this video. I haven’t bought FIFA since 2016. I had no idea it’d gotten this bad. They’ve been running MADDEN, now it seems like FIFA is being run into the ground as well. It’s like they only care about the ultimate team modes in there sports games. Nothing else.

I need to see potential of my players in the team. I can see when they are in youth team but if you take to the A team a player their potential is gone ?? why i cant see that??

What i always find embarassing is that they actually put in the effort to ad some personal player boots but dont assing them to the specific player. Mbappe, Son, Messi, Ramos, Ronaldo ect. Every squad update you have to assing them new. And gloves always be suddenly a permanent thing as soon you channge one thing on a player.

Dude, i was literally in like the world cup celebration and my camera glitched, like really really glitched, i couldnt see anything, then, on a golden boot retrieving or sum shi like that my game just straight out glitched and didnt allow me to play anymore, i couldnt even try to skip the cinematic, i had to leave and close the game to come back because it was glitched.

On the Nintendo switch version during the player transfer cutscene or negotiation the game crashed and you need to start over

Yeah….thought I’d give it a go this year after not buying a game since FIFA 21. Cost me $109 AUD + had to renew my PS Plus just to download the latest squads. Safe to say has been a total waste of money. The gameplay is the worst part though above all, I could count on one hand the amount of clean sheets I’ve kept. Defending is so hard and sometimes there’s literally nothing you can do to stop the AI

In the second season of my Brighton manager career I won the Europa League and lost in the final of both the Fa cup and carabou cup, and also finished 4th in the prem. I got sacked. For no reason whatsoever, the 3rd season started and for no reason my manager’s popularity was below 40 and I got sacked before the season could even start. Annoying

I got my half a star league 2 created club promoted via the playoffs, and in my 2nd season the board wanted me to make a £25million profit. That is literally impossible when the value of my team is less than that. I also want to point out when you don't tinker with training plans, you still get constant emails telling you not to change it lol

Guys please help me , my player career he ended the last day of his third season and the last day of the season was a international game so i played it and ended the season , and it shows the agent page like the path and recommends and only in current contract it says under (change club) but i transfer to that club 😢 when I select it it transfers me to the recommendations and i cant do any thing it shows me the clubs that i can go to but i can’t press any button cause it doesn’t exist help me my player overall is 90 help meeeee

Try swapping a 1st 11 player that is away on international duty! Been failing for 3(!!!!) releases but nobody even cares about fixing it. So you need to do automatic replace (and of course get a youth CB as striker). I am done bying Fifa/EAFC. Might as welll just continue playing the old ones. Nothing is new and working anyway...

You can replace them on your teamsheet before the game and then go into the game but then after international duty you have to place them back. 👍

i just finish my player carrer season 5 or 6 i dont remember :P but i got to liverpool i wanted to be there rest of my carrer, i got player of the season but i didnt get 7 outside the box goals :( so i couldent resign with liverpool :( so now i retired my player and never playing that again :( i was happy when i got player of season, eafc player carrer is so broken :( nice video :D

Do we still not be able to simulate the match live (not in 2D table top view) in Manager Career Mode? It's ridiculous if they still don't have this. PES' Master League have allowed us to lay back and enjoy the com vs com match live for since like, forever. Just like what you've mentioned in 9:36, needing to play it myself every match is just as tiring. And simulating the match with only looking at a 2D table top view, FM-style, is boring. Not to mention that it didn't even have any highlights on crucial or interesting moments like FM do. Just why the heck can't we switch the view between live and table top like Master League anyway?

I hate the release and fix after mentality. I stopped pre ordering a long time ago because of that. The only games I pre-ordered in the last few years was ghost of Tsushima, assassin's creed Valhalla and sifu and that's cause their was a real air of originality and I just felt like they'd be close to flawless and they delivered. I had no issues and if I did it was so small I don't remember.
