Yes. Yes. Yes. The victory of God is the victory of our Hope. The Divine Comedy is a celebration of the real possibility to find Hope and Joy here on Earth no matter how hard our lives are. And unless you are a child, your life is very hard. God is the only point that can sustain the totality of our lives, give us real meaning, and give us real hope.

@@GiveMeLiberty221 There is no “test,” which would be a works-based salvation. Rather, God has already done the work on the cross, and our salvation comes by his grace and the fruits of the spirit come by our faith.

@@hugehairyfetus Thx for your response. However, I think you and I could be wrong base your response on "only" a Christian perspective and even there it's questionable it's accuracy. Job was tested. Noah was tested and other like Adam and Eve. So was the Old Testament a mistake to be written? I tend to accept pre-New Testament literature, or information as well as other non-Christian thought on the whole subject of God and what it means to fall within that grace.

@@hugehairyfetus So Faith without Works? What "Fruit" would come from a Spirit without works to gather, recognize and even use the fruit? It sounds like you're saying there is nothing left to be done. Explain where there is not a "works based" salvation.

@NEAR TERM EXTINCTION - HUMAN Science agrees that the universe had a starting point. To be an atheist means that you must believe that the universe randomly spawned out of nothing, and when I say nothing, I mean NO THING, as in there's NOTHING there. This runs counter to the law of conservation of energy, because if there's no energy, you don't suddenly get a universe spawning from that. To be an atheist also means you must believe that life started from non-life. Not one scientist to this point has been able to create life from non-life, despite having extraordinarily controlled environments in their labs that might allow for such a thing if it was possible. Scientists cannot even re-animate dead tissue that was previously alive, much less create it from scratch. It definitely takes more faith to be an atheist than it does to believe in an omnipotent God who can do all things, and Whose Word has been proved repeatedly true throughout the millenia. @NEAR TERM EXTINCTION - HUMAN LOL!! Whatever, dude. That's ridiculous. You should put down the crack pipe. You put out all these words, many of which are misspelled, and you're saying that Christians can't be educated? Maybe English isn't your first language, I don't know. Anyway, science supports Christianity, it doesn't disprove it. When you can tell me how the universe came from nothing of its own volition and that life came from non-life, then I'll consider what you have to say. The incoherent ramblings you've put forward won't sway anyone with a functional brain.

God ...did just that . Through Christ . He demonstrated just what has been truth...the whole truth all along and IN Every person that has and will be...here on this earth. This happened before the beginning of time and will be forever more. YOU can NOT be separated from God. His Love will not allow it and there’s nothing you can do about it. You are IN....weather you “want” to be or not. He breathed His very essence in every fiber of your mind , body and soul...spirit . Now...you may not know that ...yet . But.....

Interesting and highly revealing fact: The word "GOD" (also spelled "Gaud") literally means a deceptive artifice i.e. SIMULATION. "Gaud" also means a "trick, JEST, prank, fraud" or "deception." Both the word "dream" and "illusion" have a very similar meaning and etymology as well. A couple of highly relevant passages from the NHL elucidating the trickster-like nature of the force that runs this place: "Yaldabaoth had a multitude of faces, so that he could put a face before them all, according to his desire.."--Secret Book of John//"They alienate with simulations and appearances; they make a free person into a slave."--Gospel of Philip

Interesting. God is a point. It is not eternal but timeless? It isn’t infinite but dimensionless? Everything depends on God because everything is God? There is nothing but God-I am the alpha and the omega-I am the beginning and the end? Then everything is determined by God, since everything is God. There is no will but the will of God? Everything else is an illusion of misunderstanding? Makes sense to me.

No. Nothing depends on god. Cannot be proven to exist therefore you cannot put a dependency on it. Everything depends on evolution wich is why we are here. You are here from chromosome fusing and natural selection. You put a faith in something non existent such as Jesus ( who never existed at all) then your outcome is nothing. Evolve past this then you can be free

As a Christian, I am free. I am no longer being held captive by my own self-destructive will. I could lose every single thing that I value right now and I would still have everything I need in Christ Jesus. In fact it seems like, the less I have , the happier I get. I enjoy spending hours or days observing a particular event or topic in great detail because there is always something I don't already know. I learn something new every single day. Why do you think that is? Maybe it is because even the smartest person in the world doesn't know everything. Maybe those people are okay with nature or whatever science they study being the boss of everything and having the last word but I am not. I have to get to the real bottom of things. The theory of evolution doesn't answer any of the questions I have, so I am forced to look elsewhere. This is how I know that God is real. Because his existence makes things make sense.
